Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
If Piccolo fused with God instead of Nail, rather than in addition, I don't think it would really have turned out differently to how it did. Nail suggested fusing with him as an alternative to God, he didn't know anything about Freeza's transformations, and he's a much more capable warrior. If anything, I think Piccolo + God would have been weaker than Piccolo + Nail, unless there's some quality of them originally being one being that makes the fusion much more potent, which I don't remember being implied.

Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
1,800,000 is kaio-ken x20 Ginyu Saga Goku. I was saying that some people have second form Freeza as high as 1,500,000. I don't, but if the maker of the video did then it makes sense that one 1,800,000 blast wasn't enough to kill someone at 1,500,000.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Oh. I'm under the impression Goku can only go up to Kkx10 at this point.
Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
I would think the Piccolo/God fusion would be stronger since its to halves reuniting, but I can't exactly prove that.

Well, it depends on if you think that the Nameless Namek was stronger than Freeza to begin with. As I see it, Namekian fusion gives a boost way stronger than the some of it's parts, so Namekian fission should render the resulting beings as weaker than half the original's strength.

He said he could handle 10x and only tried 20x later, yeah.
Anyway I think that video was superbly edited, enough for me to suspend my disbelief that Piccolo+God+Nail at that stage would be able to match up to Freeza's final form. s there a continuity to any of these or are they all standalone?

I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Um what is fission. Are you saying Kamiccolo is a greater fusion then Piccolo/Nail or the opposite?Kamiccolo9 wrote:Well, it depends on if you think that the Nameless Namek was stronger than Freeza to begin with. Fission is when something splits; it's the opposite of fusion. The series never uses that word, but I like todbzfan7 wrote:Um what is fission. And yes, I would say so. I believe Nail says something about how Piccolo would be enormously powerful if he became whole again, but If he fused with Nail instead, he would still gain a large amount of power.

Well, really, Namekian "fission" isn't a thing. Kami didn't expel another Namekian from his body, he expelled the evil from his soul, which took a physical form and became Piccolo. It's really no different from what happened with Majin Buu, the way I see it.
Not that our numbers really matter.
Power-ups in Dragon Ball have always been there to suit the plot.

Well, Nail didn't seem very surprised by the fact that Piccolo was incomplete. It makes me think that Namekians in general may be capable of this.CaBrPi wrote:Well, really, Namekian "fission" isn't a thing. Well, Guru doesn't seem surprised either. He just says "I see he divided. What a shame."CaBrPi wrote:Nail already knew about Piccolo, though.

Then why does Goku have to retrieve Dende from New Namek? Why doesn't Piccolo just split himself again?

Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
Maybe fusion is permanent? Piccolo says that once they rejoined it became impossible to split again. But it stands to reason that if the Nameless Namek was able to do it, and neither Guru or Nail were surprised by it, that it has happened before.CaBrPi wrote:Then why does Goku have to retrieve Dende from New Namek? Admittedly, this is pure speculation. Nothing in the manga to support or deny it.

Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
The nameless Namek split the evil from his body. Now Kamicollo has nothing to split from as he is one being. Or 3 if we count TFS in the future.Kamiccolo9 wrote:Maybe fusion is permanent? Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
I think Kamiccolo would probably be in the 550-600k range if he has fused with Kami instead of Nail.
Nail and Piccolo fused are over a million by a good amount , perhaps 1.5
A Nail / Piccolo / Kami fusion probably brings him up to Goku's 3 million power.

Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
That makes no sense though. If they had refused when they were each 3xx, then Kamicollo would only be 600. But we both know that's not true with the assertion that the original Nameless Namekian was at least 530k. The fission was something strange and weird, not exact.CaBrPi wrote:I always just assumed that the fusion with Kami doubled Piccolo's power, and would double it no matter what level Piccolo was at. They're two halves of the same whole, after all. So, basically, the way it happened in the series (Nail first, then Kami) maximized Piccolo's power gains.
But this was really cool. I didn't expect much from it, but it was surprisingly really well-edited, like you guys said.
Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
Why do you think the original Nameless Namek was 530k? Seems a bit extreme.
Re: Freeza vs Kamiccolo(Freeza Arc)
Piccolo trained a lot to be as powerful as he was in the Namek saga. Just because it is said that if he became whole again he would be stronger than Freeza, that doesn't mean that the original nameless Namek was that powerful. As far as we know, its perfectly possible that Piccolo, thanks to his training, had already long surpassed the power of the original nameless Namek, but that he would still receive a huge power up if he fused with Kami simply because that would make him whole again.
