Hey, guys! This is a short fandub I did with a fellow Kanzenshuuian, SSJ4 Furanki! It`s a scene from the recent Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods movie! Enjoy!

That doesn't surprise me, a lot of mics aren't made for Z-Kiai type screaming, haha.

Won't comment on my Birus, but Goku, I'll comment. Your first language speaking wise isn't English, but your accent is almost non-existent here. The Kiai were a bit strained a bit something sounded off, but that's probably in part with microphone quality as you said before. Even though you speak English well, there was something a bit awkward with Goku's line "Don't underestimate me, okay!", it should've sounded more like a question rather than a statement. The okay made it sound off, even though the rest of the line is fine to deliver that way; but, you did that to fit the mouth flaps which is fine.

The music seems fitting, but it falls into the trap most people using different music fall into. It goes on too long, but still a better choice than the guy who tries to pass off random-line clips as a real dub.

Not to say there's no criticism for my Birus, but I don't feel like I should be the one judging my own stuff, haha.

Hehe, thanks! I`m glad my accent didn`t come through, that`s one of the biggest problems I have while doing these FanDubs! Since you don`t want to comment on your Birus, I will! I quite enjoyed it! Of course, you can`t really hear much of it, but it sounds pretty darn good! The laugh sounds like it strains your voice, but over-all, I think Birus is one of the characters you do best!

Thanks! Haha, it actually doesn't though, oddly. It just has that 'sound' to it, haha. It's basically my Brian Drummond Ryuk impression with a different tone. But, one of the drawbacks of using that voice is that to laugh, I'm more-or-less stuck using the breathy laugh, otherwise you'd probably get a growly, forced laugh and I'd rather not have a forced laugh. It's good that Birus' personality is a character that works with that voice, considering its source. Laughing is one of the easiest things for me, but, I know how to use my voice(s) for the most part. I'm not gonna try a fake sounding laugh, I would use a deeper, natural voice like the Japanese version; but, I feel this voice type fits in English and if I did a voice like the Japanese version, that'd probably sound forced too. For non-parody dubs, I don't want to have forced sounding anything in there.

Badly acted sounding laughs bother me, i.e. Ash's current voice in Pokémon, she overall has Ash down now. But that laugh, not so much, haha.
