Okay, my turn.

I know that every once in a while, Mike allows us to get a little fanart thread going. I, being an artistic nut, loved the last one, and miss it dearly. Also, the fanart section of the DaizEX Random board (like most of the board), is quite dead. So, I decided to start a "Fan Works" thread of my own, here on the main forums, since it'll get more attention. Hopefully, it'll (be allowed to)run strongly for at least a little while.

I'll kick it off, but this thread is for everyone. If you've got it, post it on here. Doesn't matter how professionally or otherwise it looks, or if the total drawing, scanning, and uploading time was ten minutes; it's all good. It's mostly for posting FanArt, but if you want, you can put excerpts from FanFics, or links to full FanFics, and stuff like that if you want. Everything except for videos, which obviously goes in the AMV - General Video\Art Discussion section. Also, I'll take art requests, to a point.

So basically, if you created it, and it's DragonBall-related, then it's fair game for this thread.

As promised, I'll start it off with some fanart.

Cool pictures! If I may ask, what order did you draw them? (Just so I can get a sense of your style progression.)

I'll probably post the first part of my fanfiction I'm writing. I'm guessing there'll be people who don't like the plot, for reasons... involving the plot. :wink:

I'm not giving anything away, though.

They're all recent (within the last month) so it's no big change in style or anything, even though I see how they may look that way. My "style" seems to change with the material, idea, or medium.

By all means, put the Fanfic chunk up.

Sweet stuff there, Mr. Announcer. You've got a lot better grasp on Toriyama-sensei's, earlier, "true" style than I do.

More art coming from me hopefully soon... One is a "What-If" situation, one resolves an age-old debate, and another features the real mightiest warrior in the universe!

Well I'm not oppsed to constructive criticism but when it's just like "your art is frickin stupid," then the line has been crossed, by a lot. There's nothing wrong with pointing out what someone could do better though since, if they are a serious artist, they really will want to improve themselves. I'm not a fan of the "anything goes" view of art nowadays.

I don't think he was criticizeing the art i think he just didn't like the portrayal of vegeta as gay in Chuquita's other works.

I don't like the portrayal of DbZ guys as gay either (save for a few situations in funny fanfics involving Future Trunks, but that's completely different.)

But regardless, this guy was being a massive buttmunch about it. And I won't have any such tomfoolery on my thread, arigato.

Haha, I'm so flattered, especially since I'm not great at drawing Piccolo. That makes two people toting avatars with my art in them. Only about a thousand more to go.... Question though, did you make that using the small view or the full view?

Holy sh*t! In terms of fan art (or professional), I was blown away by your stuff. I'm extremely impressed! I have seen professional comic art far worse.

I have a handy little slave, er little bro, I have to ask him some other time. The quality wasn't as good as I thought, so its time for a whipping,er asking some one to make me a good 80x80..Thanks again. And you are wrong saying you do a bad Piccolo. There is no such thing as "a bad Piccolo" because Piccolo is a badass.

I just wanted to let you know that your Super DBZ gamepro contest drawing was really, really good. I don't know exactly what you mean when you say "the contest that never was," but this definitely should have been a winning entry. Truly exceptional fanart.... Keep up the good work and post more of it here!
