Probably, but in canon Freeza also stated he could easily beat everyone (Piccolo, Vegeta, Gohan, etc.) in his third form yet he transformed just because. I'm guessing that's what will probably happen in this scenario.

canon Goku before his Ginyu zenkai wouldn't have been able to take 2nd form Freeza, let alone 3rd form.

Yeah...I'm sorry, but Goku had trouble with Ginyu Force, 2nd form should be absolutely maximum he can take on (And only by using 20X Kaioken)

I could buy Goku hanging on against Freeza (with the right mix of Kaioken bursts) but not at this brisk pace. The comic simply doesn't have enough space to adequately explain the logic of the fight.

As great as the art is, and it is genuinely good and creative, I can't help but feel the "Freeza wins" universe didn't warrant further exploration.

Instead of the instant-rage Super Saiyan boost, the slow buildup of anger he felt over travelling has given him a stronger Kaio Ken.

Yes and no. As we learned last month, Salagir doesn't write the specials. However, he doesn't proofread them either to make sure feats are consistent. That said he had to have least told the writer that Goku's going to end up taking on Freeza's 1st through 3rd, maybe even 4th form, leaving us with this inconsistency from last chapter to now.

Salagir also said he considers First form Fireza to only be 53,000 so maybe 1st form isn't quite 1 million and Goku is using a kaio-ken higher than x10.

Why would 1st form Freezer be weaker than Ginyu? That's just nonsenss, if he was so weak in his first form he wouldn't be so feared, considering very few people knew he could transform.

I don't think he ever stated that. People just took things out of context or made them up completely (as usual...).
