What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
Some are satisfied and some are not. This question is not just about story, but can also reflect animation, sound track, or really anything you can think of. I'll come up with my list momentarily. Also this isn't a place to argue points, just to get your opinions out there. I don't want to see "I like that idea" "I think that idea is dumb" "No it ain't" back and forth discussions. You can say even nothing if you really want, but try to elaborate. Also no smart alek just "It shouldn't be made" responses either.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
A tease at the end to what's to come would have been nice but in terms of changing what's there, based on what I've read I don't think anything needs to be changed cause of how well everything was handled.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
Have not seen the movie and have only read the summary once, but...
1. This is an obvious one, but I wish Mystic Gohan was a thing. With his new hairstyle, it would have been easy to distinguish his base form from mystic by simply spiking his hair up after he transforms. It would have been neat if Gohan was NOT present in the battle against Frieza's men. The others would handle them, but then Shisami, who's backstory would be better explained to justify his strength, would overpower them. Gohan would arrive a tad late because he was searching for his gi, and easily dispatch Shisami. Then, Frieza would arrive to the battlefield. Gohan would be forced to go Ultimate against Frieza's first form. He'd get the better of Frieza, prompting the villain to quickly transform to his final form and one-shot Gohan. This would create a bigger impact than first form Frieza one-shotting an untrained SSJ1 Gohan.
2. I would have preferred Golden Freeza to be a real threat, dominating both Goku and Vegeta, individually. This would prompt them to work together, which was Whis' lesson in the first place. Like in the movie, Freeza's power would gradually weaken as he engages in an arduous battle against the two SSJGs at the same time. The wear and tear would revert him to his original form. Goku would show mercy. Vegeta would tell Goku to move aside, charge his blast to deliver the final blow, but he'd be too slow to prevent Freeza from blowing up the planet. Whis would speak to Goku while he's in limbo (crossing to the other world), and warn him of his mistake before reversing time (only Goku would be aware of this). Finally, Goku would pull the trigger against Freeza before he has a chance to destroy the world.
3. No lame ass blue SSJs. I can't imagine ANYONE liking these forms more than the original SSJ transformation. if he wanted to distinguish the SSJ forms of gods from regular saiyans, he could have made subtle changes that would mesh the best qualities of SSJ1 and SSJG. Blond hair with red highlights, red eyes with no pupils, and flaming aura. That's one. Or just the red eyes and aura. Why go with this fugly blue?
4. Trunks and Buu should have been in the movie somehow. How do you mention the counterparts of these characters and just leave them out? This makes no sense from a writing perspective.
5. It should have left off with some hints of the other universes, gods, or some other threat that we could anticipate in a new film. Missed opportunity, imo.
6. Shown Frieza's training, and increase the time he spent training. No prodigy nonsense.

I would have kept Freeza alive. Seems wasteful to bring him back and kill him off in one movie. Now Freeza has the most deaths for a canon DBZ villain.
Hi
Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
I posted my changes a few weeks ago in the movie thread where it got some positive and negative feedback, here it is again. It's largely the same post as before, but I added a few things and changed my tone a bit because it may have appeared that I was acting a bit condescending and entitled in my original post, even though that wasn't my intention.
Spoiler:
Design-wise, I do.3. No lame ass blue SSJs. I can't imagine ANYONE liking these forms more than the original SSJ transformation.

Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
-Freeza managed to escape being reincarnated, and has avoided the process ala shenanigans as a puff ball spirit. He has absolutely no power and has to embarrassingly flee since he can't fight back against Enma's men. Because it takes a while to reincarnate and there's many people to reincarnate, he lasted for a while. It can follow up after his death at the hands of Trunks.
-Freeza is revived fully by Tagoma and Sorbet, but is revived during the Cyborg training period. Freeza leaves with them as he's not strong enough to compete with the saiyans.
-Freeza protests he's a "prodigy" and that he can train to get really strong really fast. A year or so passes and he only manages to get somewhat stronger. Cursing his inability to really grow. He realizes he isn't as great as he thought he was.
-A being from one of the other 12 universes approaches Freeza, and is the one who helps Freeza get incredibly strong over the next several years. The beings motivations aren't made clear to us just yet.
-Post training and after getting stronger, Freeza amasses a new army. He conquerors planets and collects more powerful warriors to join him on his crusade. These warriors range in level. Freeza goes to re-establish his army as a dominant super power. Most of this can be off screen, or considered part of his training.
-On earth we have a similar meeting, except this time the mooks are more varied. Some are weak, some are really strong. Gohan takes on 1st form Freeza in his Ultimate state, though knows the most he can do is buy time for his father to show up and his friends to not have Freeza kill them.
-Muten Roshi fights off some of the weaker fodder, but gets overwhelmed once some of the stronger additions make a B-line for the old timer. Krillin and Tenshinhan jump in to Muten Roshi's aid and fight together. Muten Roshi and Krillin join attacks via Kamehameha, while Tenshinhan fires a Kikoho. Yamcha also appears, saying he'd never sit out even if Tenshinhan said so.
-Piccolo absolutely dominates until Shisami shows up. Shisami was a warrior that fell at the hands of Freeza on another planet, while Freeza reconstructed his army into an even greater force than ever before. Shisami while not a good person, fights as he has to, or he dies. He and Piccolo have an even battle.
-Gohan and Freeza have a cool fight, but it's very clear Freeza is just far too strong. Gohan does as best as he can, til Freeza nearly kills him. Piccolo notices Gohan going down and comes to his aid. Shisami stops him. Freeza is not impressed by Gohan, and waits for a real challenge. Gohan laments that he couldn't buy enough time, that he wasn't strong enough to protect his the earth.
-Freeza orders Shisami to kill Gohan since he's not worth Freeza's time. Piccolo takes off his weighted clothing and the real fight between Shisami and Piccolo begins. Freeza thinks about just killing Gohan now, but thought it'd make Goku pissed to see his son nearly dead. So he just leaves him.
-Goku and Vegeta come in around the time Shisami has been dealt with as well as the army. Freeza kills the weaklings when even after amassing a new powerful army, they still couldn't win.
-Goku see's his son nearly dead, and is enraged. He asks Vegeta to take this fight on his own. Vegeta at first tries to protest, but see's Goku is really serious, so he just keeps quiet this time.
-Freeza jumps to Final Form and the same fight happens as in the movie, but more personal.
-Gohan is healed via senzu and stands by the others. He realizes how he nearly left his family without a father, and resents how helpless he was. He vows to be ready next time and to not let everyone down again.
-Golden Freeza vs SSGSS Goku commences and is about the same, though without Freeza becoming so weak by the end. When Freeza's on the ground, Goku powers down telling him to leave. It's his last chance to do so. Sorbet pierces Goku's heart once Goku's power was lowered.
-Vegeta comes in and beats the crap out of Freeza. However after dominating for a while, he gives Freeza the last senzu, not feeling satisfied beating Freeza in such a pitiful state. Vegeta does better than Goku as he watched and studied their fight to gain an advantage. Though the fight is still fierce.
-Vegeta wins in a tough fight and Freeza blows up the earth again. This time though after time is turned back, Goku stops Freeza from blowing up earth and sends him flying. Vegeta finishes blasts Freeza and kills him. Vegeta complains that he didn't need Goku for the assist.
-Beerus and Whis argue that their other weaknesses is not teaming up. That they could have done that to get the job done with much more comfort.
-The person from the other universe is disappointed Freeza failed him, but he did at least give insight as too how strong the top beings in the universe are. The being proclaims he'll just have to change his plans a little. We're left in the dark as the next film would feature this mysterious person.

I mean, you avatar looks cool, but imagine swapping the color of it with the traditional SSJ scheme. You don't think that looks better?

• All characters appearing.
• Freeza's convincing training.
• Bardock and Gine.
• A detailed Bardock vs Freeza/planet Vegeta's destruction.
• Jaco talking with Kakarot.
• Tights appearing.
• Son Goten, Trunks and Freeza having a dialogue.
• A good explanation of why the color of the "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" is blue.
• Give better names to the new form of the Saiyans and Freeza.
• Make a cliffhanger to the 12 Universes mixing elements/aspects/concepts from Dragon Ball Online.
• Mira and Towa would be canon.

No, I prefer the blue SSJ, it's my favourite colour after all.. SSJ still remains the best transformation in the series and the most iconic moment, but I don't like its design compared to SSGSS.fadeddreams5 wrote:You prefer SSJ with blue hair and eyes over golden/blond hair and green eyes? The new Super Saiyan god form should of been platinum spiked hair with white eyes completely white like Raiden in mortal kombat white and electric aura. That would of been dope, not a big fan of the blue hair either.

Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
1) Freeza survives. I think it's a bit of a waste to bring back an iconic villain, for what amounted to 2 hours (I guess 4 months, in universe). Let him have some role in the next film, even if he's not the main threat. I would suggest bringing him on as Beerus's successor, but I kind of like the relationship the two of them have as it stands. Would have loved for his empire to have been re-established, at the very least.
2) More world-building. There was a ton in BoG, and by all accounts there doesn't seem to be very much at all in FnF. Nothing elaborate would be necessary, but maybe more insight into Freeza's empire and the structure of the organization would be nice (and maybe there is some at the beginning of the film, or in an extended edition, if one is produced). The other universes could have come into play I guess, but I'm not sure if they make sense with Freeza as a central figure.
3) I guess Buu sleeping works as far as the mythos about hibernations and such is concerned, but it would have been interesting to see Freeza react to him. I guess it could've been similar to his interaction with Beerus, but it's possible there'd be a different direction.
4) Would remove Gohan's line about *thinking* he can still become a SSJ (would be no reason for him to go 'ultimate'/'mystic' based on what we know). I'd also like Piccolo's losing to Shisame to be because of a cheap-shot, as opposed to fatigue from fighting flunkies.
5) It seems Tagoma is killed by Freeza in his ship. For a character who was mentioned as early on as he was, would've been nice if he had a bigger role, and was involved in combat to some extent.

Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
Wasn't that one of the main complaints about BOG? There were too many characters of too little significance getting screen time• All characters appearing.
Um... why?• Bardock and Gine.
Watch the TV special and Episode Of Bardock.• A detailed Bardock vs Freeza/planet Vegeta's destruction.
I have to admit, I kinda wanted that to happen too. But she contributed nothing significant in the Dragon Ball universe, so it's not big loss if she doesn't appear again.• Tights appearing.

Re: What changes would you make to Fukkatsu no F?
I'm already doing that in my fan fic *cough shame less plug: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11161847/1 ... Gods-Wrath cough* but the things I'd change officially I could are:
1) Abo & Kao were Sorbets replacements for Freeeza but bailed on him.
2) Sorbet learns of Earth from those twos scouters and revives Freeza one month after Yo Son Goku!
3) Freeza's revival takes the power of two wishes, the last the Pilaf gang would use to gain youth but get turned into kids (for BoG).
3) Freeza spends 3-4 years training instead of just 4 months.
4) He spies on Earth and adopts their training methods, fusion dance and uses android technology to boost some of his mens powers up (namely Shisami).
5) Yamcha & Chaotzu join the fray to kick some ass too.
6) Freeza actually masters his powers properly and completely kicks the asses of Goku & Vegeta who fight him both at once .
7) No Whis time travel bull shit.
Beerus VS Freeza happens with Beerus using 100% of his power to wipe away Freeza from existence himself, making sure he can't come back again.
9) Piccolo seals away the DBs so no one outside the Z fighters can use them.
10) Vegeta leaves to space to clean up whats left of the PTO as Sorbet gets away during Freeza's fight with Beerus.

When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Replace Freeza with Broly. Golden hair (completely, no green parts and a bright shining aura) Broly = Goldy, the full power Legendary Super-Saiyajin
Make him have a fight with Goku and Vegeta.
And that's it.
