Freeza's footstep sound effect

Post by SilverPlaqueVII » Thu Oct 15, 2015 3:46 am

Is it just me or is it Freeza's footseps sound similar to Cell in RF? Sometime during 1990-91 run of DBZ, his footstep sound was different.

If memory serves, you are correct. I believe I did notice the android footstep sound effect when watching Resurrection 'F', and it struck me as odd since Freeza isn't an android.

I also thought "Isn't that the sound for Cell's footsteps?" But then I couldn't remember how Freeza's feet normally sounded in the past.

Well, Mecha Freeza was a cyborg, and probably more mechanical than Cell ever was. But the healing process after his resurrection seemed to remove all the mechanical parts anyway.

In the same film, SSGSS flying used the Kaioken sound effect.

I wonder what was up.

Wasn't the sound effect used for other villains too? I seem to remember Broly and Janemba having similar sound effects. Maybe that became the new villain footstep sound effect?

I remember that too, well looks like TOEI has no creativity, sadly

Maybe when you get at least as strong as Cell, and you're a villain, your feet sound like that. Just because.

Yes, damn those uncreative bastards at TOEI, giving the same sounding footsteps for three different villains, how could they!! The ruined Dragon Ball once again...

I for one didn't notice it the first time watching because I wasn't really paying attention to the movie that much in the first place.. Anyway, Cell's first form has the exact same feet as Freeza, so why does Cell make that noise and Freeza before F didn't?

Sure let's go with that.

Thought that was for "mechanical" feet. That's why Cell had it. Weird.
