Jump Super HEROES Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 DVD Extra: Reference Art.

Postby Tanooki Kuribo » Thu Aug 09, 2012 1:16 am

Hey, guys. If you don't know by now, I'm a total psycho and purchase almost every DragonBall DVD that comes out. Lucky for you I like to share. I recently got the Jump Super HEROES DVD Vol.2. The extra they throw on these DVDs is reference art (also known as character design sheets) for all the shows presented on that particular DVD. Originally I was just gonna post the screen shots of the art from Vol. 2 but, I know I didn't put up all of the DragonBall reference art from Vol. 1. So, hey if you're into this kinda stuff, I'm sure I've distracted you long enough for all the images to load... now!

Scenery! X3 How fantastic! Thank you for sharing!

How funny that Goku not only has a mailbox, but he's house number 2. XD I'm sure there are other people living around Mt. Paozu somewhere, but since we rarely if ever see them...

Also I like that little night-light lamp that hangs over the bed. I never noticed that before.
Piccolo: Listen...in the instant he moves to attack...he's open... We'll use that instant...
Vegeta: Good plan. I hope it works.
Piccolo: ...
Vegeta: Don't look at me. You'll miss your instant.
Piccolo: So confident...I hope to see your face when Son Goku arrives...
Vegeta: Oh? And who's that? Your secret weapon?

Ah, boy do I love concept art. It really shows Maeda, Nakatsuru, and Yamamuro have it hard even when they aren't acting as an animation supervisor for an episode!
Tanooki Kuribo: Maybe I'm old, out of the loop, or just not hip anymore. But what's "weeaboos" ?!
Herms: It's a term used by a certain breed of internet half-wit against those with the audacity to point out that the Japanese show said half-wit likes happens to be Japanese.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but do any of these DVDs have any Dragon ball Heroes commercials on them?

If you do that, expect Donald Trump or Mitt Romney to show up at your place with a fleet of dump trucks

Each disc is just the first episode of a whole bunch of series. Volume 1 had DB episode 1, Volume 2 had DBZ episode 1, and Volume 4 will have DBGT episode 1.

Was going to ask for HQ scans of Bulma's stuff but then I remembered these are screenshots from the DVD. :P

Thanks, though, appreciated!

No.

When someone writes out an abbreviation and I don't know what it stands for, I just make it up. I guess it's just funnier then asking what those letters stand for.

Also, I deleted a good amount of images. I know Mike was sort of concerned about me putting up each character design. I figured it was alright before since the thread was dying but, now that it's active again... I might as well. :D
