Do you hate when DBZ fans say every anime is a rip off

of DBz? I see this a lot. Mostly on Youtube and I'm pretty damn sure they're not anime fans. Seriously a lot of DBZ Youtube fanbase fans are very ignorant and most of them are not even anime fans making them seem more ignorant. I was watching Kaze No Stigma with my homie. He's not an anime fan of course and he said the fire attacks and the flying is a rip off of DBZ. It pisses me off greatly sometimes. He even said Ren was a bootleg SSJ because his fire aura is more Gold and he has yellow hair and "Green" eyes. On YouTube I've seen people say One Piece - Dbz with Pirates, Bleach - Dbz with swords, and Naruto - DBz with ninjas. Okay obviously he could have said differ anime because besides some characters and attacls being inspired these aren't really rip offs. When I showed a lot of Youtube users Gurren Laggan(piss me off the most because it's my favorite anime) they said it's a rip off of DBZ because they fight in space. Like seriously. What in the hell. I know DBZ is legendary and many manga-anime series get some inspirations from it but to say every anime is a rip off is just ignorant. It also ruins DBZ's fanbase and make fans seem bad.

Oh yes. The shows that obviously steal(Some as a joke and some keeping the ability) I laugh. But I mean people who say a character like

Is a SSJ character rip off because his hair is yellow and his eyes are "Green". The moment they see any yellow,Sun Yellow, or Gold with a pair of Blue, Green, or Emerald eyes they complain it's a SSJ copy.

Well that's just ridiculous. SSJ's have spiky Gold coloured hair and a golden aura.

When using fire. Ren sometimes get a flames surronding him and kinda looks like Vegeta's aura when fighting 19 or Super Saiyan God aura. Even through that's the closest thing to it. THEY LOOK NOTHING alike.

Homages are usually short-lived or, if not, at least their origin is addressed. I don't know that much about Sonic but I believe neither happens. They just blatantly took ideas from DB. I don't really mind it, but it really did rip off DB.

Yeah It's not like Yugi when they said someone went off to find the Dragonballs. After that we didn't see them collecting 7 balls every 4 eps. Sonic pretty much got the popular concepts of DB-DBZ

I am pretty sure Super Sonic being a homage to Super Saiyan was acknowledged by one of the creators. But I don't know much about Sonic.

But yeah, it annoys me to hear how everything is a rip off of DBZ (although some things really do seem that way, like Togashi's works).

I don't think I've ever come across anyone like that except for one person who said the fight between Natsu and Gajeel in Fairy Tail looked like DBZ and to be fair some of the fights in that show do look like they were ripped straight from DBZ especially that one.

There's one from a Masakazu Katsura series (DNA²? can't remember) where a character's transformation was accused heavily of being a rip-off of Super Saiyan.

The thing is, the one who encouraged him to go that route was Akira Toriyama himself.

Theres ripoffs, and then theres homages and inspirations. For example, Luffy's Gear Second from One Piece.

Now theres Naruto's Rikoudo mode.

Kinda resembles SSJ in some respects (Gold aura, more or less spikier hair)

I wouldent go so far as to say these are ripoffs. Hell, in Gintama he outright cosplays as characters from popular shonen anime and manga including Goku. As long as they make it clear its a parody or something, I dont really care and in fact find it really funny and cool. Now for example, well say a character in One Piece uses a attack like the Kamehameha, from the way the attack is done and how it looks and treats it like its their own attack, id call that a ripoff.

Now heres a little something I enjoy. A little homage to Dragonball Z, the Shonen manga/anime that has inspired many if not all the giants after it. April 1, is now Super Saiyan Day,
