The movie was fun and I like they did something new with Coola even though it can be view as a rehash of Mecha Freeza. I really like the fight scenes and it's cool to see Vegeta in a movie for once.

I like this movie! I think the dynamic between Goku and Vegeta was played out perfectly here, and even though the ending was somewhat ridiculous, I can forgive it based on some good fight scenes and some good character interaction.

One of my favorites. I love the sci-fi-esque soundtrack, and the sequence where all of the Coolers charge at Goku and Vegeta was magnificent.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Animation - A+++++++++++++++++++. Just great to look at. EVERYTHING was nicely done. Colors and everything. I prefer this animation over BoG, UT/UB, and Kai.
Plot - A+. PERFECT. This really shows Goku and Vegeta's relationship. Even the side characters had a nice little mini plot. Just everything done correctly.
Music - A+. Awesome from the original BGM. But I'm going to get heat from this. One of the few times the english soundtracks is BETTER than the original BGM. The soundtrack played when GOku turned SSJ was amazing!
Fighting - A+. Goku vs Meta Cooler was amazingly done. The whole Shidoukan Ido sequence why truly a work of art. Kaioken x20 punching Cooler was AWESOME. Goku and Vegeta vs Meta Cooler was done greatly as well. Te last ending fighting scene was EPIC.
This is by far my FAVORITE dbz movie ever. Nothing can beat it. Maybe Bojack and Garlic comes close. But this is the best.

As the Movie 5 was damn cool, I liked this one a lot as well!! Not as much as the fifth, but I loved those thousands of Coolers with that twist after, only being dissapointed at the end that there wasn't proper showdown with the ''original'' Cooler and even as kid, I wasn't much satisfied with eye and little part of cheek surviving the sun's heat and possesing the mind of the dead person. Nonetheless, I didn't expected such twist.
Music in this one is epic! Ending theme is great.
Oh yeah, and Goku's landcrash was also kinda retarded....
This is the first movie being a sequel and it should've stayed that way!

Wait, I'm not here to argue opinions but... TheGmGoken: The animation is A+++++++++++++++++++? I just re-watched a ton of scenes from that movie and... I'll be honest, the art is pretty dang ugly in places and the animation isn't nearly fluid enough to make up for it. o.O; The entire fight with Cooler up until Goku goes SSJ looks terrible. ESPECIALLY the Shunkan Ido sequence. The ending sequence with GIANT METAL COOLER is fugly as all get out.
Sure, some sequences are pretty damn pretty, such as most of the fight after Goku turns SSJ, including Vegeta's great stuff, but and the Z warriors taking out his metal henchmen (still one of my favorite scenes out of all the movies) but nothing is overwhelmingly spectacular. Movie 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 all have better art, more consistently.
Anyway, I do enjoy the movie for the most part, but mostly because of it's introduction of Vegeta. I love his sequences wtih Son in this one, as well as (as I mentioned before) Piccolo and the gang taking on the metal minions. It's not much to write home about beyond that, for me.
Oh, and that many Metal Coolers? Drastic overkill.

Oh don't worry. I don't argue with opinions about movies. I overlooked Goku SSJ vs Cooler to be honest as my expectations aren't high. Besides SSJ Goku vs Meta Cooler I didn't find anything wrong to be honest. I honestly think Meta COoler vs Goku(NO SSJ) looked amazing with IDO sequence being the best looking part

. I didn't find Movie 2 art to be good IMO.

Well, uh... actually, I mentioned the Goku SSJ VS. Cooler stuff is amazing. c.c.; In fact, it was the stuff leading UP to it that was... ew, to me.

Well looks like we're polar opposite in the opinions on this movie. Oh well. Everyone's different. I hated the SSJ Goku vs Cooler sequence lol. Looks like motion capture.
P.S.
Did anyone notice how weird it looked when Goku and Vegeta charged at Cooler and that Cooler was movie so awkward and slow?

I like this movie!!
My favorite scene ( in fact, one of my favorites scenes in all DB ) is the Piccolo's ki blast ( I think that is the name of that insane power ) that destroys every robot.

Another movie I have nostalgia boner, It was the first one I owned the VHS and I watched it over and over. Anyway I love the bit when Roshi tries to attack the robots and then fails at it, I always laufgh at that, same thing when Krillin tries to FOCUS like Piccolo told him only to get his cheek in the Robot's arm. I agree with Kaiser on that the animation in Goku vs Cooler before he turns SSJ looks abit off, and even when he does, before Vegeta appears it starts to appear a little wierd again. Even then I love the fighting bits and the music in this one, themes like M-1308 put a big smile on my face and gets me pumped up to a fight. Also yay, first time Vegeta enters a movie and does not get his ass kicked 5 seconds later.

In my opinion not as good as the first Coola movie but still good none the less. I really liked the big gete star concept and how the Metal Coola's can become even stronger if they pick up an injury. Metal Coola vs Goku and Vegeta is a brutal battle. I liked Coola's motive to create a dozen Metal Super Saiyans. And I loved the big gete star robot that tried to chop up Yajirobe
Still disappointed we didn't get to see Final Form Metal Coola

One of the better ones.
Pros:
-Metal Cooler is cool, with his pseudo zenkais, powers, and beatdown of Goku and Vegeta.
-Vegeta actually gets to beat the main bad guy. Its always great when someone other than Goku gets time to shine.
-The fights are much better than the last movie, but Goku and Vegeta vs Cooler was still a bit too one sided for my tastes.
-Piccolo's Super Explosive Wave.
-Krillin also gets to do some stuff. Lets be honest, taking down that robot is his biggest feat in the series.
-Teamwork is effective again. I like that.
-Army of Metal Coolers. Awesomeness overload.
Cons:
-Fucked up strength relations, like some other films.
-The final sequence. Just... what? The PIS on Cooler's end was by far the worst part.
-In typical Toei style, no one is ackowledged as stronger than Goku, who gets to have an even fight with the weakest form of the bad guy, with the actually stronger side characters only showing up when the villain has already become maximum.
-Animation is lousy in places.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Sadly.. I saw the edited version of this one first.. That one is like ingrained in my head even though I've seen the uncut and everything.
I loved that we got to see the other fighters actually fighting. Master Roshi trying to punch that one robot was hilarious! And that chop em up robot! Finally some humor getting mixed in these movies..
I liked the Goku and Cooler fight until Vegeta showed up.. Then I was amazed with all the Cooler's showing up. 10 Billion was it? Yeah It was lame cause all we see is them running and then seeing the heroes tied up..
Definitely more entertaining than 5.

The animation is really hit and miss in this movie. It's sometimes really beautiful- some of those shots of New Namek are gorgeous but some is really ugly. The story is a little meh and after Goku and Vegeta get captured it rushes towards it's conclusion. But the rest is great- Piccolo, Gohan and Kuririn vs those robots and Goku vs Cooler and Goku and Vegeta vs Cooler. That little robot is hilarious too.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Whoa, there. How many pluses are you giving the animation? 19! What? There's some really ugly animation in that movie. I'm not saying the whole thing looks bad but, there's a good amount of shots that look really rushed.
I mean...
I don't know...
Maybe it's just me...
Like I said, it's not ALL bad. Most of the still shots or slow parts are fine...
But most of the animation and action shots are terrible and should not have an A++++++++++++++++++ rating

Yeah, the worst part is they look WORSE in motion.
