What Does The World Cup Have To Do With Dragon Ball?

...This, apparently.

Uruguay Midfielder Walter Gargano Harnesses the Power of DBZ To Protect His Shins

Can't say I'm a soccer fan (or sports at all), but this was pretty cool, I thought. :P

:D Those are some nice shins. I'm not a sports fan either (especially not soccer) but I think that's pretty cool.

Yes, yes, I know. :P And I agree that 'football' makes much more sense as a name for what 'soccer' is than for what our American 'football' is. But since that's what most people in the US know it by, I just went with soccer regardless.

Well to break the trend a bit, I'm a massive football fan, and I love those shin pads.

That's awesome to see! Never in a million years did I think I'd see something DBZ related with the World Cup, but thanks for the nice surprise. :)

They've changed my life - changed the way I act on the earth. Doesn't that make them kind of real? They might be imaginary but, but they're more important than most of us here. And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

If its not a combat sport, I have no interest in it. Only time I watch soccer related videos is for fans rioting.

That art, that's from the early BOG teaser art, isn't it?
I do enjoy futbol (more a college basketball person though) and I've been watching the world cup on and off.

Yup, it is. I wanna say it's from the very first image we got.

Football and Dragon Ball mixed up into one? Awesome!

I wouldn't mind if Bandai Namco came up with Dragon Ball: Hyper Football, despite not playing FIFA any more I'd be up for arcadey non-realistic Football any day.

It's weird seeing "Futbol" in English because that's how it's spelt in Spanish, and in English it's Football. Still, it's better that Americans call it "Futbol" than the other shitty term.

Football is my first love, just ahead of Dragonball, so this is just... perfection. Although I hope Uruguay get smashed today, the cheating bastards!
