Freeza Appreciation Thread

Post by TheGmGoken » Thu Aug 14, 2014 1:21 am

I figured I would just do two right now and two when I wake up. I'll do my most favorite and my least favorite characters when I wake up. The format in these threads is simple: you show your love and appreciation of a character. If you don't like the character, then just read about how the fans of that certain character.

Perhaps you'll come to like the character. Since I leave for College tonight feel free to create your own threads or wait for me to return to Kanzenshuu and make two more for each day I can create a thread.

It seems like a lot of people on the internet believe Freeza is the best villain in the series and possibly one of the greatest villains in shonen. Not to spark a Shonen villains debate but I do agree he's the best villain in the series, along with Piccolo Damaio. Almost every site where I talk Db, about Freeza is the favorite villain. Though there are a few exceptions.

Whatcha think about Freeza? Why do you like him?

I love Freeza or 'Furiza' not just because of how insanely powerful he was at the time, but more because of the way he talks and how charming he appeared to be in a psychotic sort of way. He had plausible goals and wasn't just blowing up shit for the sake of it. He would kill and destroy things or people to make a situation easier, but most of the time it was fairly justifiable.

Overall I would say he is the best and most interesting villain.

Also I forgot to mention what I love about Freeza is that he could keep on fighting without regeneration.
It is clear that sometime in Mark Satan's life, he acquired the dragon balls and called upon shenlong to grant him immortality.

98% of Kanzenshuu-goers have not kissed a girl. If you're one of the 2% that has, copy and paste this into your signature.

And thus one more post until College.

I do like the fact Freeza was the last main villain in the manga that didn't regenerate. However Freeza did have great defense. I do love how generic Freeza looked. Not too generic to the point he's bland but its shows how dangerous his. Most voice actors do him justice as well. Even the Female Korean voice actor acted wonderfully.

Emperor of the Universe. I like the cut of his jib. Smooth, calm, and sadistic... has all the coolest powers. But his brother... is Cooler. :o

Unlike Cell and Boo he had his own army, and it was refreshing to see an organization filled with the universe's most powerful warriors. Despite being so strong he could conquer planets all by himself but I like how he get's everyone to do it for him.

Easily one of my favorite villains in any form of media. Completely reprehensible and irredeemable, yet charasmatic, and compelling to watch. Even when his stages of transformations were getting somewhat redundant, his character and how he carries himself, as well as his subsequent breakdown by the end of the arc, are still very interesting to watch.

Helps even more when he's voiced by awesome VAs such as Nakao and Ayres.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.
