Why does New Namek look identical to the original Namek?

Why would an entirely different planet in most likely an entire different galaxy in space look exactly the same as another one? Same green sky, same green ground/trees/water, etc.

Actually from what I remember in the original manga.

new Namek actually looked really different from namek, it was more swamp-y

It doesn't look exactly the same in the manga, but I would imagine the color scheme used in the anime would be the same.

In movie 6 it had much larger chunks of land.

As mentioned & shown, New Namek is not exactly the same as the destroyed Namek. The environment is similar but it features various swamps & the ability to grow Ajissa plants quickly. In fact, the original planet Namek was devastated by a weather anomaly. Its original beauty was lost & that planet was rebuilt through Grand Elder's efforts. As far as current events are concerned, we never experienced Namek's old glory.

Oh never knew that, that's really interesting, do you think that namek had more exciting and different flora, and fauna, then before the great cataclysm?

But it's not from what we've seen from it, especially in the manga, where it looks nothing like Namek

Speaking of, I just got MsDBZBabe on Twitter to give me a pic of the Full Color manga version of the panel.

While the sky looks the same color, there seems to be no grass, the plants are a different color, and it looks like those would be other planets in the distance instead of a couple of suns. A huge difference from the anime interpretation (both TV and movie) of New Namek.

Goku's clothes are horrible. I'm glad he sticks to the gi's most of the time.

I love his clothes here. The pants are a bit too green in the full color manga but the anime coloring is great
