When did, "Earth's Hell" become a thing?
When was the first mention of "Earth's Hell" in the franchise history? This was never mentioned in DBZ at all, or even GT or the movies. Where did this come from?

It comes from Res[F]. Freeza mentions it in both Arc and movie and then it gets further expanded upon in his comeback in the current arc.precita wrote:When was the first mention of "Earth's Hell" in the franchise history? The Hell itself never appeared in the manga, only mentioned, so it was open for canon material. Like dbgtFO said, RoF started this concept and showed us the first canonical appearance of Hell

Well, in terms of the anime, Z and Kai both showed hell in the Boo arc.Ikazvyr wrote:The Hell itself never appeared in the manga, only mentioned, so it was open for canon material. Like dbgtFO said, RoF started this concept and showed us the first canonical appearance of Hell
And don't say filler doesn't count; the Ginyu frog filler counts, so at least some filler is canon to Super. I work under the assumption that if it was in Kai, it's canon to Super.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Ginyu Frog isn't filler.

Ginyu swapping bodies with Bulma during the fight with Freeza is filler, isn't it?
Sorry; probably should have been clearer about what I was referring to there.
