I'm not really going to derail the thread (if you want, we can discuss this in Heroes thread), but I saw the beginning of the video, and Mechikabura is not Towa's grandfather.

Yes. And they did that because we were in filler episodes, Future Trunks saga had already ended. Universe Survival saga is still running, so there's no reason to announce the next saga.

No worries, I'll have to check my sources and see where I found that, but it could have easily been something I misread. Seems to still be a lot of references, arcs, and lore to support them being the next arc villains though, and there is a lot they can do with it, especially considering all of the groundwork set by Dragon Ball Online, Dragon Ball Heroes, Xenoverse, etc.

Are we talking about Demon Realm? Because that would be cool. But the only problem is that no one there could be powerful enough to challenge UIO Goku....

Right, last year was just chance that everything aligned, the current arc ending in March means one should expect no info will be revealed on the next arc. The movie? Again just vague comments from producer mean nothing.
Another instance where fans need to garner their expectations.

It doesn't? After it did so well this year?
Nothing on the schedule at:
http://www.jumpfesta.com/stage/
There's probably a booth for Super, but no stage.

Gotta admit, that's a bit concerning. Maybe it's because the current arc will last well beyond the beginning of next year and they don't want to spoil anything this soon?

Entirely possible.I forget if Super had a panel last year though. Oh wait yeah there was a panel last year. Maybe it is just timing. Last December Super was in filler episode land.

I heard someone who work as animator in Japan for Pokemon that Dragon Ball Super would end in March and that a new serie will start afterward. Not sure if he is right or no but he seemed 100% sure.
I’d kill for this. A new series post end of Z please

Herms said the Feb. issue of V-Jump which releases alongside Jump festa will have some 'universe-level' piece of information so we're getting something big.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I guess we will find out when the next arc will start. I feel like the next Arc will probably start in March.

My body is ready for a new movie, the first with the Super brand and hopefully not any sort of retelling.

The 20th DB movie and 1st DBS Movie. It's about time.
Nagamine as Director and Takahashi as Character Designer. It's Christmas time, after all.
A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

I don't know many staff names but I'd like BOG's staff back as that movie had the best action and locations.

Trying not to expect anything since that's usually a recipe for disappointment. I do figure we'll see the last batch of character reveals for FighterZ to hype up the launch and stuff for XV2. What I would like is any kind of story content that is not the Universe Survival arc or more of the Tournament of Power.

Take out Shida's cut and BoG is pretty average. Shida's cut makes that film seem better than it is. (From a technical standpoint). The R1 fight is nothing special, the everyone fight is barley a fight and the Vegeta fight again is okay and then horrible CG then after Shida's cut it's essentially just a beam struggle.

Which one was Shida's cut? The one where they go racing from underground into space? It's certainly the most stand-out bit of animation in the entire movie.
If there is a new movie I really hope they avoid CGI like they had in Resurrection F and BoG. I see what they were going for but the low quality of the models and how obvious they are is really jarring.

Yeah that is the one. It is the only part of the movie that looks like it belongs in a movie.
I also agree re:CGi SSG Goku vs Beerus was ruined and so was SSGSS Goku vs Freeza, those moment never get any less jarring.
