Tons of points have been pointed out

I'll say 1 point which hasnt been highlighted enough. Which is....

Girls dont tag along like annoying biyotches to fight

DragonBall is distinct cuz Toriyama knows who, when & how to use female characters. I dont talk bout feminism oppression & stuff

Just look at the list of annoying bimbos tagging along for war from Naruto, Bleach , One Piece, AoT & unnecesaary melodrama, sentiment, emo moments dedicated to them which distracts any & every sense of tension leading towards & half-way into the fight

Here's a couple of what-if scenario...

1.What-if Chichi outta nowhere attempts to protect Goku @ 23rd TB from in-coming Piccolo Jr's punch which wounded her fatally?

Whole DB team would've sunk into pathetic melodrama thinkin bout Goku's short-lived marriage-life...or Roshi breakin 4th wall claiming how Chichi displayed real waifu values..

Or Piccolo laughin like retarded monkey while DB family grieving over Chichi's dead body.

2. What-if 18 decided to tag along to find Babidi's ship, saw Krillin turned into Stone via Dabura's spit & gone rogue on Goku & his team blamin they were responsible for Krillin's state?

Veggie would've been pissed & try to blow her away cuz dude's got bigger goal while Goku & Gohan attempt to calm the situation down cuz she's....well basically a family with them...

Now add all those flashbacks of how 18 met Krillin, Goku's sense of guilt...all while Babidi & Dabura waiting like retarded mfkers...

Those will steer tension away from actual plot or drama

Gotta credit Toriyama for avoiding these cliches cuz knowing how the series was made in 80's, he could've taken the previlege of including these liberties for easy way out, yet Toriyama chose not to. Salute AT

Logically speaking, she had more reasons to go there than Krillin.

You're what if scenario's are incredibly far-out, and not because they center around female characters, but because that level of melodrama is incredibly un-Toriyama like.

Anyway, Toriyama admitted that the reason he didn't include that many female fighters was because it was a different era and he would've had he made DB today, so there's that.

Many great points have been made, but one that I find particularly important is how Dragon Ball looks. The overall aesthetic, the designs, the simplicity of the drawings and the expressiveness of the characters is very appealing and pleasing to the eye.

If this is an attempt at satire, I don't think you quite made it there; it comes across as entirely too earnest.

...And if it is indeed written in earnest, this does not even remotely live up to the spirit of our community guidelines, is not even remotely acceptable, and will not even remotely be tolerated further. Amiriteguyz?
