Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
Not sure if this question has been asked before, but with a (fake) moon I think it shouldn't have been impossible. Cell had Saiyan DNA and even a tail. Creates a weird image in my head though, wonder how that would have looked.

There is nothing to suggest he couldn`t so...

They had this question on the podcast before and my vote goes to if there was still a moon, and te fight lasted into the night, he could have done 'something' with blutz waves.

This would make a great what if transformation for a game.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

He doesn't have a Saiyan tail.
No.
No.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
The genetic makeup of his tail is a mix between sayan, freeza`s race and whatever else went into him. So it is partly, at least, a sayan tail.Rory wrote:He doesn't have a Saiyan tail.
No.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
If the moon still existed...what if Cell absorbed it through his tail?!
Being that this is Dragon Ball, anything is possible.

Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
I wanna see that pic colored.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
I'm going to use the idea that his DNA was gathered from only tail-less Saiyans as the explanation for something this stupid never happening.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
But it's DNA, so it would already be encoded in their genes. You can't just get rid of DNA by yanking off someone's tail.Cipher wrote:I'm going to use the idea that his DNA was gathered from only tail-less Saiyans as the explanation for something this stupid never happening.
I'd say it could be possible, but of course Piccolo blew up the moon, so we'll never know. Perhaps that's for the best though.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
You'll accept that Cell's genes give him strength and special moves it took the other fighters years to develop, and that he is able to transform by swallowing a human girl in a way that allows him to throw her up, entirely whole, later? But all of a sudden tail-less DNA is too ridiculous?Kiyza wrote:But it's DNA, so it would already be encoded in their genes. You can't just get rid of DNA by yanking off someone's tail.
Okay, guy. Whatever.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
I don't think he could. It's a useless transformation, so I think he was programmed/grown in a way that would prevent him from transforming.

Wow that drawing is pretty freaking awesome, I second that you should color that picture. I say he would be able to transform but of course he didn't ever see a need to because he was already stronger than all the other fighters so Oozaru wasn't necessary.rereboy wrote:

Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
Unnecessary, perhaps, but would becoming ten times stronger really be useless?Dayspring wrote:I don't think he could. It's a useless transformation, so I think he was programmed/grown in a way that would prevent him from transforming.

Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
Any ol' tail won't do it, he needs a Saiyan one.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
Did anyone ever try squeezing his tail? Man, it'd suck if that worked and they totally overlooked it.
Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
Android 16 did a lot better than that... he yanked it right off his body.Fin wrote:Did anyone ever try squeezing his tail? Man, it'd suck if that worked and they totally overlooked it.

Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
Yes, because it's like saying well 1+1 could be 3. On top of that even if tail-less DNA were possible, Cell also consists of Cells from Nappa if I'm not mistaken. Nappa never lost his tail. But all of a sudden tail-less DNA is too ridiculous?
I think the Saiyan DNA argument kind of beats that.Any ol' tail won't do it, he needs a Saiyan one.
Also, you might think the idea is either cool or ridiculous, but I think at the very least it's a much more interesting/creative what-if transformation than SSJ3 Vegeta/Broly (even though they are kinda cool).
BTW I really like your drawing rereboy and I agree it needs coloring. My imagination of that transformation looked a lot more chaotic, lol

Re: Could Cell have turned Oozaru?
This would be the third best what if transformation ever. After Cellin and Oozaru Nappa. Also Yamhan if you count him, because he was 100% new for the series, unlike Gotan.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

It's not mine. I found it in some random internet place.DbzFanboy wrote:Wow that drawing is pretty freaking awesome, I second that you should color that picture.
