Kamehameha color.

In the anime it's always known as the blue attack. Even though a lot of the time it's just white with blue shading, but I digress.

In the manga however, we only see it as white. Is this different in the full color versions? Is white the color Toriyama intended?

I think most if not all ki blasts in the manga are colored a generic yellow. Even ones that had trademark colors in the anime and other material, like blue for the Kamehameha and pink for the Gallic Gun and so forth.

Well, in some instances the Kamehameha was yellow:



But as Kaboom pointed out, practically all Ki blasts were yellow in coloured version of the manga. I go with blue version in the anime because that's just the coolest for me.

Well looking at the original run. All blasts are white in the limited color pages, but in the full color pages the kamehameha is white the first time we see it(vs Freeza). But yea, looking at the FULL Color versions, the Kamehameha is yellow. I guess Budokai 1 was right all along....

Didn't a lot of the video games show yellow Kamehamehas, not just the first Budokai? I seem to remember that the SNES fighting games (Super Butoden series) had yellow Kamehamehas, too.

I like the blue one a lot better, maybe beacause that's the first one that I was ever exposed to, but there are a few times in the anime where we see a yellow kamehameha. For instance:

According to the Wiki this is an Electric Kamehameha, preformed by Gohan in an attempt to destroy Boo's Egg.
And lasty, we have Goku using a yello Kamehameha on Boo when stalling for Trunks

I've only watched the extended cut of BoG once, so I hardly remember that.

The full color manga colored the majority of ki blast attacks yellow, and that makes sense IMO. The Kamehameha is like a glorified ki blast.
