Is Dr Brief alive in Trunks' timeline?

Is Dr Brief alive in Trunks' timeline?
I'm not sure if Dr Brief died or survived in the future. On one hand, we don't see him, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's dead. I believe he was still alive when Present Trunks was the same age as Future Trunks, so there's also that chance that he lived. What was his fate?

Probably died from old age or was killed by #17 & #18 off screen. I think we would have seen him with Bluma if he didn't die.
