Would Vegeta have fought again?

After goku died Vegeta said he will never fight again..
Considering goku stayed dead and majin buu is resurrected, would Vegeta have broken his word?

He was training before he knew Gokuu would be back, so probably. I think he was just bummed that he died but wanted to say something edgier than "I'm sad".

He wanted to fight Gohan before he knew Goku was returning. I think it's safe to say the passion was still there.

According to the Kai dub, he started training again 2 years after the Cell arc so he already went back on his word 5 years before the Buu arc even started.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Funnily enough he actually DIDN'T say that line in the original Funimation broadcast and DVDs, but he does in the original Japanese and Remastered versions. I'm guessing that originally they got Sabat to record the line and then decided to take it out at the last minute because it would end up being somewhat contradictory.

They've said shittons of much more contradictory things, of their own invention no less. Them suddenly caring about making the show consistent by fixing the source material is cute.
