How would Goku react if he had read the mind of Future Trunks?

Post by Steven Bloodriver » Fri Jul 14, 2017 6:37 pm

1) Would Goku reading the mind of Future Trunks, like how he had done with Krillin on Planet Namek, have changed anything? Would this have lead to Goku using the Dragon Balls of his timeline to revive and bring the deceased Future Z Fighters to his Planet Earth?

2) Would venturing to New Namek to use Porunga in order to revive Future Goku and bring him to the other Z Warriors of the future on Earth have helped both timelines?

At this point in the story, Goku is far too self-centered.

If this was Buu Saga, sure.

Goku is not selfish. He's simpleminded. He doesn't often grasp the severity of situations until it's too late. But seeing all the events from Trunks' perspective would certainly put him in a similar mindset to that of when he realized Gohan wasn't a fighter and ordered everyone to fight Cell at once.

Goku certainly is selfish, one of the most selfish in the entire series.

And he openly admits to being selfish quite a few times in the story.

Yeah I mean even his selfless acts are lined with selfishness i.e not minding dying again as he could train in the afterlife.

I'd say the most selfless thing he does is let Piccolo kill him, he had no idea of the other Saiyans coming yet, he did it to fully ensure Gohan's safety.
