Hi!
I'm thinking of starting a Dragonball/Z music collection, and would like to know where would be a good place to start?
I don't have any original Japanese Dragonball/Z episodes and have only seen the dubs of both series. Therefore I don't know any of the songs that would be available on these CDs. (Though I have all the manga, Dragonball and Z)
My question is: are there any albums that are a good starting place? I'm looking for ones that'll have really recognisable tunes, so that when I get subtitled DVD's, I'll already know the tunes beforehand!
Cheers!

From personal expiernece, I started out here because, if I remember correctly, it had Spirit vs. Spirit on it.
Nowadays I'd start off with DBZ game music if I were to restart my collection.
I'd say to wait for a few more opinions before jumping on it, though.

Re: Starting a collection questions.
Try the Best Song Collection: Legend of Dragonworld 2-CD Set. It's fairly recent, and has a good majority/mix of themes, movie themes, insert songs, and image songs. Plus it's cheaper than trying to pick up the Hit Song Collections individually, or pick up the OOP older sets.wannywan wrote:Hi!

After that, I'd try the BGM Collection, so you can get familiar with the BGM from the show.
That's just my advice, though. Hope this helps!
You also have an option: http://www.daizex.com/multimedia/music/

Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.
I'd also suggest the first (and best) Hit Collection CD - there are a lot of great songs on it, and a bunch of these aren't available anywhere else.
If you want musicthat actually plays during the shows/movies/specials, though, go with Legend of Dragonworld - the Hit Collections are largely image songs.
