It was probably right before the ship got there and on the call Freeza said "wait, the planet or the king?" but Beerus already went back to sleep so Freeza said "screw it" and took them both out. But then he remembered there was a prince too but he figured 2 out of 3 was good enough.jcogginsa wrote:I like to think Beerus just called Freeza on his space phone right before he got out of his ship to blow up Planet Vegeta and sleepily told him to blow up Vegeta

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Beerus was probably asleep when Kid Buu was around and Whis didn't see a reason for him to go out in stop Buu. Beerus didn't recognize Fat Buu could be that he never seen Fat Buu before. Maybe Whis only told him about Kid Buu and that was it. As for King Cold, his empire is big and other planets that are super advance that have been around for years probably have records of Majin Buu and Beerus. Freeza and his family knows about the Legendary Super Saiyan and the Super Saiyan God which are very old stories in the DB universe.Lord Beerus wrote: But then how would explain Majin Boo spending God knows how many years destroying planets and Beerus not giving a fuck about it or even knowing that it happened? Hell, Beerus didn't even know who Majin Boo was until Battle Of Gods. And considering how old the both of them are and how long Majin Boo spent ramping in the universe, how the hell did they not know of each other's existence? Yet King Cold know very well about the both of them.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You know I think another reason for Salagir's Beerus hate is because he's basically more powerful than possibly any character in Multiverse even with the buffs he gave to some characters, and if Beerus isn't than Whis certainly is. It's basically having someone going "haha Beerus is stronger than Vegetto" to Salagir's face. What's funny is that this isn't the first time that's happen considering how Gene is a complete opposite to Salagir's version of "Goku's mom" and some people (like me) joke that Akira made Gene like that because of that. lol

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Hmm, kinda lame I guess, not that Gine was a great character either, but the point of knowing who was Goku's mother is pretty irrelevant IMO. We could say that Bardock was a savage that like it to have sex with different females, probably Goku and Raditz being half-brothers, who knows? All the concept of gentle Saiyans breaks me and Goku's mother being one of those make it even worse.FoolsGil wrote:Hanasia, the Mary Sue strongest, sexiest, and most perfect elite warrior to conceive Son Goku.Quite literally Gine's opposite.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't know how Salagir feels about Beerus but if he didn't like the character I honestly doubt that would be one of the reasons. I don't think it was ever the goal in DBM to have the strongest possible characters since they aren't even close to being the strongest in Dragonball fanfiction. Absalon's SSJ5 Vegetto could one-shot all the DBM contestants and there are several other fanfic characters and transformations that could do the same. I've seen some stories that go past SSJ10. It wouldn't be that hard to retcon the story and give Vegetto a few more transformations so he could surpass Beerus and Whis if they really wanted to.BlazingBarrrager wrote:You know I think another reason for Salagir's Beerus hate is because he's basically more powerful than possibly any character in Multiverse even with the buffs he gave to some characters, and if Beerus isn't than Whis certainly is. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Vegetto was the most powerful character in the manga so the assumption was that he would be capable of greater feats than the other characters in the manga. That was basically it. It was to show off Vegetto's strength to the other contestants but, in comparison to other fanfics, the feat isn't very impressive. Long before Super there were already OCs and transformations that could wipe out the universe. There are even some transformations where Goku becomes omnipotent and could create universes, give life, resurrect people, etc. If Salagir doesn't care that other fanfic characters are stronger than his own then I don't think he would mind if a new canon character was. Vegetto is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta who have both achieved new transformations in Super. If a SSJ God was a 6 and Beerus was a 10 then SSJ Blue is probably somewhere in the middle. Who knows how powerful a SSJ Blue Vegetto would be on that scale.BlazingBarrrager wrote:Considering the fact that Vegetto at SSJ3 was so powerful he caused this to happen...The only thing that beat this in canon was Super Saiyan God Goku and Beerus' punches in Super causing the Universe to fall apart. Sure some other fan works have done worse, but still.Spoiler:
Honestly I'm still wondering how all this is being interpreted from a filler minicomic. The "Beerus did it" joke has been used by fans since BoG came out almost three years ago. If Salagir really hated the character why would he wait so long to make the joke? I don't think there's any ulterior motive here. As soon as I heard Beerus was responsible for all these events my first thought was what else he would end up being responsible for. I really like the character Beerus but that doesn't necessarily mean I have to like everything he does. It's meant to be a joke but what I hate about it is that it feels like a lazy attempt to give Beerus history. Rather than make him responsible for all these random events, I think it would've been interesting to learn more about his past, how long he's been the God of Destruction, where he was before taking the position, etc. I doubt we'll ever learn any of this though.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
For me the problem is that the joke just seems smug. It really seems just that "oh look how stupid this is" while at the same time the guy makes a comic with Super Saiyan 3 Vegetto and Goku`s Mary Sue mom. I mean I don`t hate Salagir and I think you can make fun of DB but this just felt off.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I get the complaint about Goku's mom but whats the problem with SS3 Vegetto? He makes more sense than Gotenks having it.Lozjudai wrote:For me the problem is that the joke just seems smug. When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Multiverse was a fun fan-comic when there was nothing new coming out for Dragon Ball, but now that we have new official content....I find myself enjoying this comic a LOT less. Maybe it's because of how different the new content and the multiverse content is? Maybe it's because I don't need the void filled anymore? Maybe it's because the novelty has worn off? Maybe it's because I get annoyed when fans say they prefer Multiverse over the new material? Maybe I've just matured in my tastes? I really dislike the original characters and mostly dislike the characterization of alternate versions of existing characters.
Seeing characters that got left behind over the course of the original story was fun, but now that only the most powerful fighters are left, there's not much for me to enjoy.

Why would you get annoyed if someone prefers Multiverse over the new material?
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
What's fanfic about it? Goku caused the entire Earth to shake just from transforming into SSJ3 and characters have been creating incredible tidal waves of force and wind for a long time. Vegetto creating such waves of force by transforming into SSJ3 just seems natural progression, honestly. They just tried to justify the logistics of how those forces work with some science bla-bla, that's all.Lozjudai wrote:For me it`s not the form instead it`s how fanfic level OP it is.ekrolo2 wrote:I get the complaint about Goku's mom but whats the problem with SS3 Vegetto? I've heard/read various fans saying that Beerus seems to be the cause of pretty much everything in DB, jokingly. Including in these forums. Salagir has just incorporated that into a little fun minicomic and that's pretty much it. You are seeing in it what you want to see, imo.Lozjudai wrote:For me the problem is that the joke just seems smug. I don't actually mind the Beerus pages, obviously they're exaggerated but it seems to be doing that in hopes of having a bit of comical value. Personally I was hoping for something different, maybe explaining more about what Beerus has been up to with something original thrown in, but I'm not bothered by what we got.

Yeah, I was expecting something more fun, like Beerus showing up at the tournament. "*appears behind the Kaioshin* Why wasn't I invited to this little tournament?" *insert shenanigans here*

I'm the opposite. After enduring several episodes of Super and watching that shitty Resurrection F movie, I find myself appreciating Multiverse much more.batistabus wrote:Multiverse was a fun fan-comic when there was nothing new coming out for Dragon Ball, but now that we have new official content....I find myself enjoying this comic a LOT less. Yes, I enjoy it more than the new official content, which I detest (sans the Super manga). There's no reason to dislike a series that's made by fans for fans just because other people's opinions don't match yours. It's even more silly to lose interest in the series only because it doesn't match the official content in some way. That's like hating the Toei movies only for that reason.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
