Are we ever going back to the main story again soon?

I really like how the planet is being lit by artificial sunlight. That's a really neat sci-fi idea!

Reminds me of Halo & Gundam.

...this is the planet the "technology instead of ki" fighters from one of the other universes came from, isn't it? Wasn't really expecting to see a what-happened-in-another-universe version of them.

I´m starting to feel this specials as fillers.

Like it´s good that they are fleshing out the 20 different universes but ultimately only 2 of them (U18, 16) are relevant to the plot and are the only ones fordshadowed to have a inevitable clash (Vegetto´s wrath ?). One could argue that villans like Majin Bu, Cell & Freeza from the other universes are important and that´s right. However, dedicating a whole chapter (25pages) explaining what happen in the Universe they come from is a waste of time and is something they could have done by just info dumping in a single page.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Honestly, I'd love specials about the Universe 9 (where humans are awesome and changed quite a bit from traditional Dragon Ball) and Universe 19 (with the technologically advanced race and their unique situation) over most of the specials. They're different enough to warrant some good exploration (Universe 2 would be interesting just to see how a Toriyamaverse would work).

Well, you just named the three universes least likely to get a special chapter. There is no history to U2 and Salagir doesn't want it to have any. So there won't be any special chapter. U19 has a long story done in fanfic form and it will most probably end on this. U9 has a long story - as of yet unrevealed to us - and there seems to be a lack of cartoonists willing to commit to it.

I've been saying that they are filler for years. They were only created to give more time to the main artists.

We are going back to the main story as soon as this special chapter ends, like it was announced: "this chapter finishes on sunday. After it, we'll have 6 minicomics, at the same regularity. Then a special chapter a little shorter, on universe 13!"

I don't know what you are talking about.

I am reminded of this song. For some reason.

You can get a new daddy
Get a New Daddy
Stay up real late
Kick back and light up a fatty

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

It can work just like Gohan's Saiyaman costume and be voice activated, rather than pressing a button on a watch.

Me thinks looking for a new daddy will be the least of her problems.
