Fuck Toei, if this is really Toriyama's storyboard then the arena of the anime is completely wrong while Toyotaro got it right.

Yeah, "it seems", that's too bad...

I wished I had watched the event to be certain because you can see the arena design has those obelisks Toyotarou uses in the manga so I can't imagine Toei changing that if it is from Toriyama himself.

Interesting. It seems Toyotarou shows Toriyama every storyboard of the manga and that part was the only one that got corrected/revisioned.

Most things are better in the Manga I think apart from the Piccolo vs Frost fight.

Now I'm wondering why Toei changed the layout and design of things. I wonder if that's part of what upset Toriyama (they did have Vados call the initial benches design simple, I think.)

None of what you have said makes any sense at all, let alone fits the available facts. The production is doing more work now than ever before.

I wonder if the design changes were Yamamuro's decision. They do make it distinct, but the benches looked easier to draw because they're straight lines. Is it because the benches would also be visible during the fights?
