If You Own All the Complete Song Collections...
...are the Hit Song Collections redundant? I'm planning on buying the former and wanted to know if the latter was just the same thing in a different package ;p

I believe the Complete Song Collections have every OP/ED, movie song, insert, and image song for DBZ (with the odd absence of BP Unlimited.) They cost about $40-$50 a set.
The Hit Song Collections contain all of the DBZ OP/EDs, some of the movie songs (Movies 10-12 songs are absent), & all insert and image songs. They are noticibly cheaper, though. They'll cost anywhere from $8-$14.
It's up to you, if I were you and I had the money, work on getting the Complete Song Collections, since they have all the movie themes. Plus after that you could get the BGM Collection, and have these big sets all next to each other.

Hm, weird that they don't have BP Unlimited. Any other absenses like this? It looks like you really do need a mixture of every CD line to own *everything* ;ptheoriginalbilis wrote:I believe the Complete Song Collections have every OP/ED, movie song, insert, and image song for DBZ (with the odd absence of BP Unlimited.) Just get that. Anything more and you'd never listen to all of it.

I've had that set for about 7 years. While I agree that having every piece of music might be overkill, that set does at the very least omit some very important songs (Unmei no Hi, BP Unlimited, MIND POWER...Ki..., etc.).EricM wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRAGON_BAL ... ensh%C3%BB

Think about which forum you're writing that on, take a step back, ponder for a few more minutes...EricM wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRAGON_BAL ... ensh%C3%BB

And then realize that statement is wrong for a large amount of people here.

I've got the 5-CD set, all of the Hit Song Collections and various other DB CDs and I love listening to ALL of them. You can never have too much DB music.EricM wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRAGON_BAL ... ensh%C3%BB

Not to mention the fun that results when my girlfriend goes into a long winded recap of her day and I cue up the DBZ recap/title music.Jerseymilk wrote:I completely agree! I've got all of that too and can listen to them all in one sitting easily!

That mirrors the average conversation I have with my sisters remarkably closely.
