You're a firm believer that Hit will die? If so, then that dude might possibly be Goku's new rival.

At first glance it does seem like most of the GoDs have some origin in different mythologies. I am a bit skeptical about the Elephant-headed one, who seems to be from U10. Not in love with the design, which looks a bit over the top given the seriousness of Zamasu's saga/character arc. I think it can work depending on his personality.

The clown design one caught me off guard, but I think it can work. If the humor (if any) surrounding him is dry and he doesn't turn out to be a typical trope, there's a lot of potential. The other elements from his universe (the Kaioshin and angel) have designs that complement him well IMO.

He might have a Hindu origin, looks pretty similar to Hindu god Ganesha, who's father was supposed to the great destroyer..

Apologies, I was unclear. I wasn't skeptical of the origin connection (though thank you for finding a mythology that works, I think you are right). I was mostly saying I was skeptical about the character because the design looks a bit over the top/silly for universe 10, which seems to be a very serious place after the whole Zamasu ordeal.

Calling it now, that hooded guy will help the Clown's universe using few tricks no one will notice. He won't be a fighter in the competition.

You know everyone notices how Toriyama uses all the gods from mythologies, except for christianity, but maybe instead of using figures he's using the example of the trinity. Look at the podiums Each one has the top of each Universe is represented by 3 individuals they are all "linked" to each other. Essentially one being with three different roles. Kind of like the Judeo-Christian religion of having 3 beings be the heads of the universe, but act as one-ish.

Wonder if the Clown will be the Joker or Moe the Clown

The hooded guy will be one of the villains of the arc and he will be working for the Grand Priest who is the mastermind. I'm calling it now.

Actually I'm very confident to assume that Toriyama already used the concept of the Christian God in the person of Zamas(to be) and Yahwe literally means "I am"... Zamas might represent Jesus Christ in a very twisted way.

He himself says that he took the body of a mortal to clean it and the world along with it, just like Jesus did.

Yep, being Hindu myself I can confirm that. Lord Ganesha's father Shiva is also a literal "God of Destruction" for what that's worth.
We also have quite a few rebels like Zamasu but I'm not aware of most of it. So there's definitely some connections there.

Must. Resist. Religious. Joke.

I think Zamasu is more based on the Devil than anything else though, the whole 'Fallen Angle who tried to challenge God' type of thing.

Zamasu was definitely Satan. Fallen, prodigy angel (god), who betrayed his kinsmen because he was doing what he thought was right, and thought he knew better than anyone else. Also arrogant to the point of thinking they could surpassed the true god and make their own law, only to be wrecked effortlessly when the true god arrives. Zamasu's story is basically Paradise Lost, which is ironic since Future Zen'o did destroy the paradise Zamasu worked so hard to create.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I think it can be both, but more of a self-appointed messiah who believed his duty to clean the world out of sin. He didn't want to be like God as Luficer did. I think that he's a twisted Christ-analogy.

His central concept was human sin and the way it corrupted the whole universe and wanted restore the perfect utopia that was lost, by killing the sinners... And only differnce between him and Christ that he wanted not only the sin to disappear but the sinners too.

Would you mind giving more information on Hindu god rebellion, it should be easier to find out for you? If it's not too much trouble :)
The only ones close to not so pure gods I know of are indra and maybe Krishna who lead a war..
None I know resemble Zamasu, if there is it might be a good reveal

And Zamasu had a better plan and more active.
