It's still there at that part, just considerably less so. His pants look almost pink and his skin is slightly lgihter

And that second picture is what happened, regardless of what Toriyama or Toei says.

You could just simply assume that Goku never bothered to remember ChiChi kissing him, as he never really cared much for it. I'm just offering an alternate view :)
