Doesn't unlocking a persons power take, like, an entire day of dancing? Good luck convincing anyone to stand still long enough to do that for what they think is just another tournament.

I don't think it's an entire day, gohan had it done when Gotenks was still fighting, In SS3, fusion dosen't last longer than 30 mins and SS3 makes it go even faster..
Of course I could be remembering something wrongly as well

If I'm remembering correctly the dancing part of the ritual took a little over 24 hours. I can't remember the exact number, but there was still the sitting down part that they had to do after that took several hours more.

You're more or less right. The entire ritual's duration is about a day.

I'm curious why you think he would go blue. He's already blue in color and remember the last form he saw via Goku and Vegeta was regular supersaiyan. I think he too will use a golden ish type of form, if anything.

Why would they tell him? Botamo and Magetta don't have any incentive to tell him. Since Cabba was willing to testify on his villainy for Universe 6, I doubt he'd tell Frost about Blue and that doesn't sound like something Hit would do either. Champa and Vados wouldn't have any motivation to tell him either, other than to tell him to watch out for it. Even if he was informed about Blue after Hit picks him up (or whatever he is doing), how could he possibly attain it anyway? It took Frieza 4 months to just unlock his Golden form and they is no way Frost could do it in the 4 -ish hours they have left until the TOP.

What if Champa takes Frost to train with Hitto in the Rosat or what if Frost has been training hard since the tournament?

So, when can we expect everyone to find out about what the stakes are? Tonight? Are they really going to let them all go into battle without knowing what happens if they lose? At the very least Grand Priest should explain the rules before the tournament. But then what was the point for all this secrecy? What do they hope to gain by not telling them they are all going to die if they fail? Goku keeps bribing everyone with money too. Wouldn't a better incentive be their lives? It doesn't make sense to me.

Gohan was the only fight that wasn't a little scuff but even then going SSGSS and KK on top proved that Goku needs proper training as Gohan was utterly destroyed, Goku was hindering himself in SS2 so Gohan can match up to him.

You forgot 17. And little scoffs does count, just look at 18 with Krillin or how powerful Gohan became with Piccolo who was stronger and then he vastly surpassed him.

Because Whis is Beerus's teacher and much stronger than Beerus?

This does not mean anything. Another real battle with Beerus is more better than "some punch" against Whis, especially to understand how strong is now Goku compared to Beerus imo.

Yeeeaaah, I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else here and say that this is just odd.

Although I have to admit, if that's Whis in the grav chamber, I'm rather interested to see how he will react to the sudden change in gravity, if they show that. And even if they don't, I'm still interested to see what he has to say about it.

I didn't forget 17 it was a little scuff all the same, they fought for a tiny bit where they weren't going all out, that is not training Goku isn't improving.

How would they even get there, notwithstanding the fact that they shouldn't even know if the RoSaT exists. The RoSaT exists in Universe 7 and we have yet to see Beerus or Whis be informed about it. Even if they did know, why would they tell Champa about it? Beerus wants to survive too.
Since we don't know what Frost has been doing (other than being a fugitive), we can only speculate if he has trained and become stronger and even if he did reach a form beyond his final form, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be his Golden Form. It was already pointed out, but Frost only saw Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta and Goku and not their Blue forms and if he wanted revenge on Vegeta like Frieza wanted revenge for Goku, he would go with gold, since he is a parallel of Frieza.
