Buu Saga Gohan -> SS or SS2

Well , if you see the select screen pictures of Gohan SS and SS2 (Buu Saga) in DBZBT2, you will see that other than lightning, Gohan SS has slightly different hair than Gohan SS2, ie. Gohan SS has two "strands" of hair at the front, while Gohan SS has one.

So, can we take this as a reference in knowing whether Gohan is a SS or SS2 throughout the series, as lightning was never consistent. Plus, does that mean that Gohan was SS2 when he fought Legendary SS Broly in Movie 10? As, there cannot be any reason why he would not reach his maximum against a foe like Broly! Other than this, there are many places in the series where, even though there is no lightning, Gohan has one strand of hair at the front.

NB. Gohan has one strand of hair at the front when he reaches the "Mystic" form, unlike in his normal state.
