I've seen them and to me, they are the most constructive critique of the Bang Zoom dub.mint0h wrote:No one's posted it yet, but I thought that Alan Smithee of YouTube uploaded a more fair critique and look into the BZ Dub than what was previously linked in this thread.

What an interesting dub. Unfortunately, after the Goku Black saga, we might not be seeing this in a while

So... Toonami Asia are airing 14 episodes a week now, twice on weekday and 4 times on weekends! No more episode titles now but I have to assume it's the same BoG and "F" arcs meaning they'd get recycled every 2 weeks...
Man gotta feel sorry for those Asian kids must be so tired of it by now.

Hopefully someone can cap the audio from those airings, at least. The Bang Zoom! dub of Super probably will never be released on BD/DVD so that's the best one can ask for, for archival purposes.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:So... Stand By Me Doraemon (2014) was also dubbed in English by Bang Zoom! but strangely enough they only premiered the English dub in Japan and nowhere else. Despite that, they did a brilliant job with the Doraemon dub (they dubbed Doraemon 2005 but seems it was canned).
Account no longer in use since 03/31/2018.

Oof... it's the Ocean dub all over again, except that was what... 53 episodes instead of 27?Baggie_Saiyan wrote:So... I hope it doesn't wind up getting replaced like the Ocean dub did.

I hope it doesn't, but Toonami Asia need to man up and license the next batch of episodes or atleast try and license more animeNia wrote:Baggie_Saiyan wrote:So... If memory serves, they licensed the first 52 episodes, so there might be more problems going on than what we're aware of.WitlessMass wrote:I hope it doesn't, but Toonami Asia need to man up and license the next batch of episodes or atleast try and license more animeNia wrote:Baggie_Saiyan wrote:So... Guess all we can do is hope until more episodes show up... if more show up.

I read about it as well yeah. You'd think they would tell is what's going on but nope. If it's cancelled atleast inform your audience maybe? Welp, who didn't see that coming in all reality? It's been MONTHS since the last episode, none of the actors have most likely recorded passed episode 27, & it was speculated to have been quietly cancelled.Tian wrote:Bad news, guys. Toonami Asia will shut down on March 31.

Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Bang Zoom Dub Official Discussion Thread
There's still a chance that at least the 27 existing episodes will continue to air on Cartoon Network India for a period of time, but as for anybody expecting new episodes, after this shutdown in the Southeast Asian market, yeah that's not happening.
Was the hate for Kai largely unjustified?

The story of Kai's production is far more interesting than the actual product.

Oh well. Not to sound like an asshole, but the dub as whole really wasn't up to standard, so I won't miss it much. But I at least credit the actors for trying their best with the material they were given to work with.Tian wrote:Bad news, guys. Toonami Asia will shut down on March 31.

Is the source reliable? I mean, I for one cant find anything on the Internet that says so. It could be true.Tian wrote:Bad news, guys. Toonami Asia will shut down on March 31.

I mean if you ask me, they probably went bankrupt after licensing Super AND hiring Bangzoom for the dub. Should've waited for the Funimation dub if you ask me.
