just how strong can popo get? do you know his true power level? I mean he was the protecter of Kami when he was the ruler of the earth. The guy is so cool... if he is a guy... which inspires me to ask another question. What is Popo? And what did he do to his lips?

Popo is stronger than Daimao Piccolo. He never killed him because then he'd kill his beloved Kami. So PL is between 260 and 322.

Yes, he's pretty incredible at points. Remember when Trunks and Goten first met him and they thought he was bad so they started attacking him? He acted like he didn't feel the first blow and then he just calmly blocked all their successive hits!

lol, he might've blocked Goten's and Trunks' attacks, but he was barely calm. Still, he must be very powerful to have even survived.

I think he was pretty calm, considering what was being done to him.

I do believe he is immortal. Either that or very very old, as when he first met people like Chi Chi and Bulma, when Goku was in hospital, Goku introduced him as: "That's Mr. Popo, he lives at Kami-Sama's castle. And says he has since before the current Kami-Sama and the one before that and the one before that..." And seeing as Kami-Sama asended to the throne in 461AD (Dragonball starts in 749AD) that would make him very old indeed.

It is entirely possible that he is immortal. Just one more thing to add to the crazyness of the Dragonball realm..

I'm not sure of it, but i believe a lot of Goku's training with Mr. Popo is filler.

All filler. I'd like to see it though. It has a monumental role in DB/Z/GT.

Actually, I don't think Popo-san is black. I believe I remember someone writing into Animerica magazine asking the same quetsion, I might have a copy of that particular issue too. (I'll think I'll go look for it later.) Anyway, I remember them saying that he wasn't.

Thanks! Now I know a lot more about Popo than I did. He is a cool character... I would like to see him fight Buu or something. That would be hilarious.
