Personally, I'd rather have cinematic cutscenes than special moves. But since this is next-gen, the specials may fit smoothly into the gameplay and still look nice.
I noticed this when I went through the trailer.
Unless they got lazy with cutscenes, it looks like we may have some kind of cinematic moves.

I never noticed that! But maybe these won't be the cutscenes, they may have justed used them to show of the games graphics. I don't think that the picture of vegeta charging the galick gun would be a final attack or cut scene. His arm gose inside his armour.
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Actually, those might the "Drama Pieces" that Julian was talking about in an earlier podcast. Basically cutscenes integrated with the gameplay. Similar to Budokai 3's rock-paper-scissors sequences......just hopefully without the rock-paper-scissors.mystic trunks wrote:Well those pics are from cutscenes so...

Personally I think that it looks very pretty. Either way I am going to buy this game.

It looks like I was right. It seems like the special attacks will go into cutscene sequences, just like B3.

Looking at the post of Big Momma I can see these punches already
existed in Shin Budokai and it is in game! not cut not specials.
The way Krillin is unleashing kienzan too,
it is also "fast specials" in Shin Budokai style.
The drama pieces will be specials. But will have conditions in battle.
Maybe spending some time fighting, maybe something related to the lifebar
maybe related to the bar below.
Like some warning for you to give the enemy a ko..

Like in Meteor/Tenkaichi3 where you can press a button during the fight to advance the story?

Looks like Kuririn gave Goku a Senzu. I wonder if it's an executable move, or just a simple cut scene. The rest looks good.mystic trunks wrote:new pics:
