OK, Iam going to go ahead and do this. Iam making a new topic about something referring to the new live action DragonBall movie. I really don't want this to turn into an argument about if you are for the movie or against it. Lets just please talk about the topic at hand, which is....
I've been going to
http://www.dragonballmovieblog.com/ for the latest news on the live action movie. The latest update though, is a bit confusing. They announce the addition of Ernie Hudson (from Ghostbusters) to the cast. The only problem is, they don't say who he will be playing. They give a hint though...
his character will be an altar boy in a temple, which comes Gokú (Justin Chatwin) and his friends, who must support
Yes, I know that sentence doesn't make much sense but thats a direct quote. Anyway, who do you think he is going to be playing?

An altar boy in a temple sounds an awful lot like Kuririn.

A boy in a temple you say. I think it could be Kuririn.
Edit: Crap i wanted to be the first person to say it, i got beaten by 1 minute!
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Rape is
not funny.
Anyway, new actor addition looks good. He looks nothing like Kuririn but he's well built. :3

Or maybe he could be Mr Popo. He and Kami lives in a temple, sort of.

Agreed.
Interesting addition to the cast. The info tibit may be roughly translated from a Mexican speaker on the set. Looking forward to more info with James Marsters as well. Caught him on Torchwood the other night, was good to hear his Spike voice once again. Though seeing him kiss another man was quite odd, to say the least.

OMG DaBlackKrillin!
*cough*
I wonder what his character's name will be and how involved in the overall plot he'll be as well.

Holy crap. Winston Zeddmore in freaking Dragon Ball.
If he is Kuririn, I'll be befuddled. I mean the Ghostbusters crew is a little old now, aren't they? At least to be playing 'altar boys'.
Oh well. *shrugs* Go figure.

Smallville made Pete Ross into a black guy, why can't the live-action DB movie do the same to Kuririn?
Although seriously, he probably will be Mr. Popo. I couldn't see a 60 year old Kuririn in any adaptation of Goku's youth.

Ahahaha...now that I've looked up who Ernie Hudson is, I guess he probably wouldn't be Kuririn. I guess Popo would sort of make sense (maybe he'll seem to be just an altar boy, but turn out to be literally God's servant undercover?).

This movie...lol Not trying to sound ignorant or repetitive or anything, but Mr. Hudson as a possible black Krillin should be the least of people's worries with this movie and yeah using "rape" wouldn't be the best choice of words
I really hope he isn't Mr. Popo either. I mean sure, let's remove all of the talking animals but be sure to give us a heads up on
the post-civil war, reconstruction era, black stereotype, er, mystical man Mr. Popo.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

A black Kuririn wouldn't be so much of a problem, but a 62 year old Kuririn with a teenage Goku would be rather odd.

If that is indeed a black Krillin.
Then this movie = win

Hah! Ghostbusters! Maybe Bill Murray will play General Tao? Heh.
I'm intrigued now. This movie is really gathering quite the cast...

Don't worry I lawled, don't let the uptight crowed bring you down. (ITT: a bunch of "That's not funny my sister died that way!" crap)
Anyway it's probably for the best Kuririn isn't a midget.
Aro started to laugh. “Ha, ha, ha,” he chuckled.- Actual quote from Twilight

I am assuming he is going to be Mr Popo. I can honestly see him in the role. He plays wise but humorous mentor types recently, and I think he can pull it off.
Speaking of new info, the stunt double for Chatwin is a Trickster, which is an excellent choice cause those guys can flip and kick like crazy.

Ernie Hudson? Not much of a "boy" really. I mean, he was in freakin' Ghostbusters!
Oh well. Whatever they do with him, I hope it's good.
