Wow we get to see Selypa. Maybe funimation didn't lie about more footage.
The other pic was done better than i thought it would be.
The colour is great. I am so totally going to buying this.

If you can't wait a week or so and you are in england there is a seller selling it so here's the link (i got my season 3 a month early from the user)
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Whoa, those screens don't look bad. The picture looks a bit blurred, but I may pick these up. Thanks, looking forward to more screens later on! :P

What I need to know is in regards to the Dub w/JP BGM option. Is Solid State Scouter intact for it? That's likely the selling point for me on these.

Is there any set timeline in when they're gonna stop re-re-re-remastering these? It's almost like saying "you fell for it last time, why not give us another shot" :?

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Does anyone know how accurate the colors are on this new release?

I'm probably going to end buying this set in particular because it's the only way I'm ever going to get them unfortunately.

From what I have seen of this release it looks like they mastered this whole process. Things look fairly crisp and they are giving us eye catchers. I can say with confidence that this is as good as these sets are getting. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. I'm not picking it up (unless someone feels like buying it FOR me which is how I got my other season sets.) But nonetheless if you like the season sets you’re going to love these.

Edit: Too bad they didn't practice this process for about a year, Season 3 and this look fairly good but what about season 1 (the absolute worst) and 2? I think re-remastering those due to early screw-ups is somewhat counter productive.

Which is a shame because I like Season 1 and 2 and I wish they would have gotten a good treatment instead of being experimented on. See what I mean?

I spy grain... no wai.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I disagree, it is BETTER then the first season set, but it is still very meh, even if you ignore the cropping.

They actually do look really nice. I'm glad to see FUNi is mastering this process. Though I think Season 2 was the worse, not Season 1. Season 2...GAH!!! The overly white Vegeta skin.

The quality on these are getting better and better. It's becoming that the cropped footage is the only problem (which never bothered me anyway).

But with that said...Am I the only one who doesn't see much of a quality difference between the remastered and the 4:3 counterparts posted? The color is only slightly different and the grain isn't a whole lot better. Maybe it's just the process in which the cap was taken for the WS. Someone care to correct me?

The process?

I hit pause in VLC and then hit snapshot.

I second this, it would be my reason for buying it.

I like the looks of it but ARRGH, THE CROPPING! I'm lucky enough to have the original releases of both specials so I think I'll stick with those.

Any possibility of getting some shots of the metal case and all?
