-Piccolo has another new form granted to him by Shenron along with the light green Power Awakening/Potential Unleashed form, which he names "Orange Piccolo" because he becomes orange, stronger, a little bigger & has a glowing logo on his back

-Goten and Trunks don't/can't go into SS in this movie
-Hachimaru, Hedo's bee robot, has been spying on Magenta ever since Hedo returned from prison. Hedo has it kill Magenta when he wants to unleash Cell Max before it's fully ready, but it's too late
-Carmine survives the movie after he gets knocked out by Pan and the film doesn't dwell on his whereabouts
-By the end of the movie, Hedo now works at Capsule Corporation

Too risky to be honest you never know if your gonna get something good or crap this all sounds like something toyotaro would write tbh.

You dont see a problem with characters getting back to back unearned asspull powerups in the span one of movie? at least with blue which was a controversial powerup that form lasted 2 1/2 arcs before it got replaced by UI.
Piccolo getting 2 power ups... One unearned as fuck and the other just an asspull.
And of course they had to shit on Goten and Trunks...

When Videl flies around at the very end, the camera turns into her POV and she sees the other characters around her. In one shot, Goten and Trunks do the fusion dance, but she continues flying and we don’t get to see proper Gotenks. I guess they were only there for a Fat Gotenks gag. Bummer.

Just becuse it was done then doesnt mean you should do it again to this extent. Even now that arc and movie catches a lot of hell for pulling that stuff they werent well recieved.
The franchise has been getting new talented character designers like Naohiro Shintani and Chikashi Kubota to upgrade the visuals. Now it's time to get better writers because this cleary ain't it.
I don't really have a problem with non-training based powerups. Sure, getting them via training is more "honorable", but I guess they've done that several times before and doing it via a wish is relatively new. I mean Piccolo at least has dedicated his life to martial arts and training and it seems it gets him nowhere.

Thinking that maybe Piccolo asking Shenron for a powerup is supposed to be some sort of callback to King Piccolo asking for eternal youth.
