I saw in the video that Kanzenshuu got mentioned. Anybody knows anything of this remix? I knew it was a remix even when I was a young boul. This is mostly due to to the fact I've only heard it on fan-made DBZ games while the series version was less edgy.
For over 20 years, people have considered a remix to be the original theme of a beloved dragonball character, and absoloutly nobody knows who created it. Today, I try to solve that mystery.

Didn't even know it existed prior to this year. The only version I even remembered from DuBZ proper was the re-arrangement that Scott Morgan made, the regular version on the CD's and the unreleased one are both really mediocre.
The fact that so many people thought that this was actually the original version in the replacement score was a massive shock. Raised some serious questions about what these people even know.

The meme/joke that DB fans don't read or watch Dragon Ball and only know DBZ from the video games have some truth to it. We're hardcore fans so it's weird to hear. But this theme was on a lot of fan made DBZ games in the 2000s and early 2010s. So that could've been how people assumed it was the actual theme.GhostEmperorX wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 11:43 am Didn't even know it existed prior to this year. Honestly, I can't count myself among your ranks as a "hardcore fan"; Being from a country in W. Africa, my introduction to this series as well as its fanbase was massively confused, mostly because I came to it more in-depth when Kai was a thing, the Yamamoto problem happened, games got their BGM swapped out, etc. Owing to that origin I never once got to see the series on TV at all like a lot of those who were around when it was a thing, and so I basically walked in on a complete warzone without knowing anything about what was really going on (more to say on all this will have to be a thread of its own).ATA wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 12:33 pm The meme/joke that DB fans don't read or watch Dragon Ball and only know DBZ from the video games have some truth to it. I also never knew any of those fanmade games, and stuff like Super Smash Flash which I was more acquainted with didn't have anything that I remember related to DBZ. It was mostly official games I knew.
To add, I still haven't seen the original DB show in its entirety, because somehow the Z portion was the first one I encountered (even a random manga copy someone had at a school I used to be in over a decade ago had the Z starting point).

Apparently, it's been solved; A user named ALX Productions has surfaced and explains the origins behind the track:
