While the article mainly refers to her excellent casting as Airazor, she was the first English speaking Frieza. Will say I didn't mind the serpentine tone she gave him, even though I do prefer Mr. Ayres. Still RIP Madam. :(

Airazor was definitely her most well known role, but as the initial English voice for Freeza (the episodes where she appeared as Freeza predated the North American release of Final Bout), she certainly left a footprint for the English speaking side of the Dragon Ball franchise.

RIP

RIP Ms Newstone. Thanks for being Frieza and Airazor.

Very sad news, as someone that grew up with the Saban and Westwood dubs I was most familiar with Pauline's version of Freeza.

A unique voice that was suitably creepy and had a lizard-like quality to it, which fit Freeza's lizard-like appearance and demeanor.

She will be missed.

RIP. It was an interesting performance, and sounded very sinister. The voice worked for that version of the character.

I actually think Chris Ayres (also RIP) sounded somewhat similar to her at times.

She actually did briefly voice some his other forms in the Westwood dub. She voiced his Final form in the Hell scenes, and there were some flashbacks to earlier episodes were you could briefly hear her as Frieza.

There was also a flashback during the Cell Games were Gohan gives a monologue, and you get to hear Pauline Newstone as 2nd form Frieza. I can't find it on YouTube.

I didn't even know she was that old. It's good she got to live a full life. I only wish Hiromi Tsuru and Chris Ayers would have lived that long.
