How do you think Shin survived in Cell's future?

So we know Kaioshin and Kibito are looking for Boo's egg, run into Trunks and eventually confront Dabra, leading to everyone but Trunks to die.

But in Cells timeline there is no Trunks anymore.

You'd think Shin would confront him, and die sooner.

But Black finds Future Trunks timeline noteworthy and unique because Shin/Beerus are dead here. He'd have found Shin dead in Cells timeline first.... unless he didn't die...

So how do you think he made it out? If he held back due to lack of backup? Trunks got a body in heaven and was stronger? Broke the Zsword? Got a day pass?

My headcanon is Shin was tortured for longer by babidi, Maybe Dabra stone spit Kibito as he wasn't saving it for a stronger dude. Boo kills Dabra? Shin and Kibito escape and kill babidi next time he balls up Boo. Maybe without Trunks he risks waking Beerus?

Perhaps since there was no Trunks there, there wasn't a warrior Dabra and Bobbidi thought worthy of taking energy from and didn't target Earth. Did Black travel to Future Cell's timeline too? Don't remember exactly the specifics of the Zamasu arc.

I don't think he got any energy from earth or trunks it was too depopulated that's why he took 10 plus years gathering energy from elsewhere in the universe.

Boos ball was on earth so when they came back with the energy they were jumped by kaioshin and co because they didn't know he had Dabra.

Black had the time ring box and chose trunks because it didn't have a living beerus. If he took the rings in order or creation/order in the box he'd find cells timelines ring first. And shin would have died earlier without trunks... So something's up, he managed to live.

But they stood on Earth because of the strong warriors, right? Maybe due to the lack of it, they took off to quick and Shin couldn't reach them. Or maybe without the assistance of anyone Shin didn't want to, either. Besides, could they even gather energy without the warriors. Afair Boo wasn't about to hatch there in Super, tho I may be wrong

Maybe if Shin and Kibito didn't fight Dabra and Babidi. It's likely that Dabra and Babidi failed to get more energy to awaken Buu.
