Well how much sleep is he required to have? And I say he's lazy. But I'd be angry too, if a bunch of greedy adventurers woke me up every year for their own gain.

Not even. Snorlax wakes up to eat and eat and eat and then go back to sleep. Shenron simply wouldn't wake up if he had his way.

I'd think Shenron would be a bit enthusiastic if it were someone else waking him up EVERY year.

Porunga is probably happy about granting wishes because I doubt the Namekians actively go and search for their balls.
