Yeah, Syfy or Funimation Channel are the best bets. It deserves to be shown on cable again. It'll probably create a whole new generation of fans too.
Dragonball making even more money.....I'm all for it!

Case Closed was only on AS because of all the gruesome murders. Had the crimes been theft or vandalism, it would've been on Toonami back then.
...okay? :?

Uh... The show is what it is... Of course if it was toned down it would be suitable for American children's television... But you could say the same about anything so what's your point?
That Case Closed would have been on Toonami if it didn't have the murders. Easy point to see.
But why only Case Closed? You could say the same for any anime on Adult Swim, such as Yu Yu Hakusho... If YYH didn't have the deaths and violence, then it would have (and appeared in such as way) on Toonami...

We don't need people giving a new half-assed argument that DB is for adults.
Well considering Astro Boy aired on [adult swim] I would say anything is fair game. They even have Star Wars that airs on regular Cartoon Network on there now, and that's definately NOT an adult's show.
GT is underrated and the International Channel will always be my favorite channel for foreign programming. I still miss it.

the only thing that can top this honestly, is an anime sequel to Berserk.

This is the series being re-released in fullscreen.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

He's reffering to the fact that Funi could have rereleased the series in fullscreen, but we're getting it better than that, freaking DRAGON BOX! WOOO!!!

I'm still as excited as the day it was announced...

Since I'm too lazy to go back a couple of pages, are there any listings for the Dragon Box online yet? I'll more likely have to go to my local Best Buy to pick it up, but I wanna see what other places are selling for the lowest price possible.

No. You probably won't see anything like that until September according to a few people around here.

Only Dragonball Z and the 13 movies have been confirmed for a Dragon Box release, no news on the original Dragonball series getting its own Dragon Box yet.

The dragonball milking is getting crazier with the day. WTF is this man.

They knew that they would do this and yet they kept releasing the remastered boxsets. Now they're going to release Dragonball boxsets, while everyone knows that we are also getting a dragonbox version of it.

Um, no. They didn't know this when they started releasing the season sets. The proverbial ink was still drying when they made the announcement, to my knowledge.

Also, playing grammatically challenged devil's advocate here, even if they did know about it, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't cancel another release and catch more flak from the unforgiving DB fanbase.

And finally, NOBODY knows that they'll be releasing DB or DBGT Dragonboxes. Until an official announcement is made, it's just an assumption. And we all know what happens when you assume...

I'd be pretty pissed if they didn't ever do Dragon Ball Dragon Boxes and GT... Or missed out extras, I don't care about the special gifts.

These are questions Mike needs to ask on the upcoming Podcast with the Funi Rep!

You know... I WAS Gonna buy the DB season sets when they started coming out...
Then they announced this...

Some people are still saying they'll never do a Dragon Box, we're only getting Dragon Box Z, but... well, if you told me before this that FUNimation would release an English, 4:3 Version of the show (Forget the ACTUAL Dragon Box Footage, I'm just talking a Competent 4:3 release here)
I would have said you were nuts and FUNimation would NEVER do that.

I've now been proven wrong...

So now I'm gonna hold out on Buying DB until some time has passed, and we know definitively whether or not FUNi is getting the other DBoxes.

And you know what... if FUNi gets DBox GT... I'll buy it... I hate GT With an undying passion, and vowed never to purchase it, but if FUNi actually gave us Dragon Box GT? I'd buy it just to say thanks to FUNi... That's what I did with One Piece Movie 8... God Terrible movie... but it gave FUNi money as thanks for Saving One Piece!!

I really hope FUNi gets their act together and releases a movie box like the one in Japan with all 17 movies. If not the Dragonball ones will be left in limbo, I fear...
