Just wanted to point something out:
Goku is the first to go through the transformation into a Super Saiyan. It is widely speculated that the Sentô Ryoku ("combat strength," or if you must, "power level") of the character must be around 180,000, which Goku reaches on Namek; this cannot be confirmed or denied, however (it's merely speculation).
Goku's Kaiô-Ken level was 180,000. His base level would be 90,000. And, he got healed in the healing tank, so his battle power got even stronger. I feel that this comment should just be left out.

No, his fighting power was something around 130k when fighting Captain Ginyu, whose maximum power was 126k, which is why he got scared. He then got beaten up and healed, so his power would indeed be somewhere around 180k.

No. Goku's PL upon arriving on Namek was only 90,000. The 180,000 was via a Kaioken. And according to the Daizenshuu it was 300,000 after he recovered.

Weird, in the version i have seen, Captain Ginyu chickens out after seeing that Goku's PL is 130,000

It was 180 000 after the Kaiouken, and less than 90 000 before.
Ginyu: Let's see if you can get over 85 000...
Goku: Easy enough... KAIOUKEN!!
Ginyu: Ooh?!! 90 000... 100 000... 110 000... Impossible... And he's still continuing! 120 000... 130 000... 140 000... It's constantly rising... 160 000...
Jeese: Ooh! I don't believe it...
Ginyu: 180 000?!! That's... your true power?!
Jeese: Captain Ginyu... can't get over 120 000! Let me out of here!
Goku: Well, now... There is even more, though.

In my version (of the anime) he just powers up, without the Kaio-ken. It's possible that it's 180k though instead of 130.
