This SSJ2Vegetto guy sure is going out of his way to troll
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I know, right? Why would FUNi pre-order some people but not others.

Yeahhhh... I'm not buying into this at all. Like Greenman said, rightstuf isn't shipping any earlier than they normally would be, so the push-back date is moot. If it was pushed back for a reason, then ALL of them are going to have additional content unless it's one of those bonus pack-ins that Walmart et al are prone to do, but I just don't see them being able to fit a Dragon Box into those little cardboard cases they usually put pack-in deals in. Also, unless the poster here made a typo, Greenman also has a point about how MagLcBox is NOT the same name as MagicBox, another common trick for Internet trolling.

First of all, I'm not buying the rumors about sets released later in the month having the extras yet. Those sources aren't reliable enough.
Second, if the rumors are true and early shipments of the boxes are flawed and lacking the extras, distributors should offer to exchange the product. The Dragon Box packages are targeted toward fans who expect a complete release of the series. Distributors that send out flawed packages and refuse exchanges would alienate a large portion of their consumers. With three similar releases remaining, any of us that get burned on this release will be taking our business elsewhere for the remainder of the sets. To prevent that, they'd have to offer exchanges and keep us happy.
Either way, it's too early to worry.
I can see their parachutes.

It hasn't been confirmed. People are just being trolls. FUNi hasn't confirmed it yet. So just calm down.

Funimation wouldn't do that, they generally release something THAN put something else in it later. not within just mere weeks.

If the special isn't on there it aint on there, We're probably going to see the actual specials on 1 disk on the 7th set.
Or sadly in the Movie box(these aren't movies!)

Greenman wrote:1) Do we know if that "MagLcBox" really is the MagicBox over on FUNimation's forum? Why wouldn't he respond directly on the forum that he's a mod at?
I'm really glad I was reading this thread. Yeah, let me go ahead and confirm right now that the "MagicBox" on YouTube is NOT me. I don't have a YouTube account. I have no idea who that guy is. So whoever it is going around making comments on YouTube videos using my screenname is an imposter. I haven't commented on FUNi's Twitter or any of the stuff he said he did. Me thinks he's lying.

Just wanted to clear my "good name," so to speak. And I haven't been online on FUNi's Forum or any forum these past few days because my internet's been knocked out and we just got it back. I just wanted to clear this up before going to bed.

Anyway, really awesome pics. I didn't pre-order it, but I'm heading over to my MovieStop and getting it the day it hits shelves (they had the second FUNiBox for $10 cheaper than normal; I'm hoping that stays true with this FUNiBox).

I wonder what he'll do next...?

I came to terms with the boxes never having extras, the R2 singles didn't, but they didn't get the Dragon Books either, so that's a plus for us anyway! Funimation knows we're completionists so they're probably leaving the good stuff for last or a single release.

Looking at Kei17's JP VOB and Greenman's US...I'd give the edge to the JP Box. The picture is a little bit sharper and looks like the drawings are coming right at you. But the US Dragon Box still stacks up very well and the difference is minuscule. Perhaps Puto can provide a clip from the French set for laughs?

And although this doesn't matter to me, I actually prefer the quality of the US JP track over the audio quality in the original. The sound is a little bit blaring at times in the original, while in the Funi box, it's just right.

I have the original single and, yes, it was.

Ah, interesting. I didn't know they were doing song subtitles back then.

Just for future reference, the term you're looking for is "romanization". :)

Don't look at me; I don't have any French DB set. And I don't have the Spanish set that corresponds to these episodes, either.

I know people got over it a couple pages ago, but I still don't get why that picture of SSJ Vegeta on the last disc is even an official image for the series. I always come across it every now and then and it looks like they just snipped off SSJ Vegeta's hair from a different picture (from an obviously different angle) and just pasted it on to this new picture. Does anyone actually know the original source of this disgustingly disgusting picture?

... Also, hooray for Dragon Box 4. I skipped out on the third one 'cuz of the whole Freeza fight, but I'll make sure to pick 4 up in the near future.
