I'm not going to say that Rich, the author of the original article in question ("The Return Of Dragon Ball"), is a bad guy, is lying, or anything like that.

Good. It was a long and winding road that took the story to my ears. From Japan to Italy to the US to the UK to me, as far as I could trace it. May have been more divergences in amongst that. And in the telling and retelling it changed. But the kernel was still true. And that's it.

I've never made up anything on Bleeding Cool. Never had to. But not everything pans out 100%.

Dragon Fall! Yes! I have heard of that. Though it was originally published in Spanish, the scans I've seen of it have been translated into French (so I've never been able to really read it). It's got lots of parodies of other works in it.

Because it's Japan. Super Deformed comics are always funny gag stories where the characters have big head and little bodies.
