I like how they talk about success and then show a scene of the Cell Jr beating up a Saibamen without touching him... either this is intentional and I'm an idiot or those hit boxes are awful.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Deserves about a 2.5. Don't spend your $60 on it.

I tried to tell people in the comments that it's pronounced "Ten-ka-ichi" not "Ten-kai-chi". Needless to say I was incorrectly "corrected" and told that my correction was incorrect- Yup. Anywho!

I'm surprised at the rating being so high but I'd like to think it's based upon the standards of Dragon Ball games rather than fighting games in general. I'm looking forward to in anyway, as I'm getting very bored of Raging Blast 2.

Wow, cool. Looks pretty fun, this game is probably getting a buy from me... after the price goes down to say, $40.

That's probably one of the longer reviews I've ever seen them give a DBZ game. I'm surprised. To get a 7.5 "Good" rating caught me off guard.

I picked my copy up this afternoon but I don't be able to play until I get off of work later on tonight.

7.5 is a great score. (Though I'm more curious to see what Gamespot will give it.)

I lol'ed at the wall of text in the game. Play the Star Wars theme for full effect.

Gamespot is likely give it a 6/10. Good review, I think Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi has a good chance on doing well if the good word of mouth picks up unlike the few games which got mixed reviews.

I disagree completely. The mechanics differ from Raging Blast and Tenkaichi, creating a new faster gameplay. While the gameplay can get old, there's just so much to do in the game, what it lacks in that department, it makes up for in others. Really it's the best Dragon Ball game since Burst Limit. People hating this game because they don't like the way it looks (It's visually stunning, just biased people in denial), or because they say it's the same as Raging Blast or Tenkaichi 3 with bad gameplay, well they're full of it. None of which is true and Ultimate Tenkaichi definitely deserves a 7.5

I bet Xplay will give it a 3.

If they even review it. They don't really review anime games that often, I think the last DBZ review they did was Sparking Meteor back in '07.

But it apparently does not matter what the negative opinions are since we're "in denial" according to you.

Because there's absolutely nothing wrong with the graphics and would have to be in denial to call such glorious artwork anything but spectacular. So hm, yes.

Funny that I seen people bitching about this review on Gamefaqs. The haters admit that we got a good DBZ game for once in the past three or four years.

Given that they seemed to like Tenkaichi's 2 and 3 a lot, this isn't really a shocker for me. IGN Wii gave T3 an 8, only really complaint being they had pretty much played it last year and the netcode was a bust.

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.
