That sounds a LOT better to me too.

Yamucha knows they can't possibly win, so he at least wants Tenshinhan to get away alive. Looks like Yamucha is gonna get the finishing blow next panel. Tenshinhan will then probably try his Kikoho, but of course to no avail.

I would think it would be Tienshinhan fighting him not Yamcha. But whatever.

Also they always have weird translations. They should get someone who is a native English speaker. Get a two man team get someone who can at least translate French into English, then have the English speaker read it and fix it to make it so it doesn't sound weird.

There's one thing we can say about this battle: Goku said he killed Krillin and Kami, so they won't be saving the day...
