I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
Re: Your "Daizenshuu EX" Introduction
I can't remember when I visited Daizex for the first time, but I've been checking it regulary since sometime in 2006.
Quite possible that I found it while I was searching for AMVs, or googled "Dragon Ball on DVD" or some anime news website listed Daizex as a source.
Wow, I registered more than 2 years ago. At last, my first post

Found out about this place sometime ago via Google, I think, but I never paid it much mind until a few months ago. I've more or less been following ever since.
Throughout that time I've been on other DB-related forums, so I also decided 'why not join this one too?'.

Not exactly a new poster, but I haven't fully introduce myself
I'm Shineman, whom was a big DB fan since I was a child. I'm more of a GT fan, and draw tons of Dragon Ball pictures. However, I ended up throwing all of them away by accident... though I'm hoping to draw more Dragon Ball, and love to be in the community in with many interesting discussions!

Re: Your "Daizenshuu EX" Introduction
It looks like a bunch of people are introducing themselves in this thread, so I thought this would be a perfect place to start posting!
My name is Krystal, and it's a real pleasure to be here! I've been a fan of the Dragon Ball franchise for about 13 years. It really has had a huge impact on almost every aspect of my life, and I love it just as much today as when I was a 7-year old frantically running home after school to make sure I make it for the opening. I found this website when I was looking up info regarding the UK DBZ Kai release for the upcoming year for an anime convention panel I'm doing.
I am so excited to see such a large group of likeminded fans and am SO excited to start interacting with you all!
Happy Holidays!

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

Re: Your "Daizenshuu EX" Introduction
I first stumbled upon the site sometime in September of last year, but I didn't actually start visiting it regularly until about March or April. I've been a fan of the series since 2008. Dragon Ball was the first anime and manga I ever became a fan of, and it quickly led me to other manga and anime that I am now a fan of (One Piece, Dr. Slump, etc.).

Re: Your "Daizenshuu EX" Introduction
I found this site/podcast while running an iTunes search for Dragon ball. I've been hooked ever since.
I have to say, I love it even if I'm not as into the original as many here.
I started with the Ocean Dub on.... USA or WPIX. I don't remember what channel it was. Then Cartoon Network. But when possible, I would look at fan-sites and online fans subs.
While I may not have had the same appreciation for the original Japanese source at the time, Kanzenshuu has deepened it now. So hats off to them.

Re: Your "Daizenshuu EX" Introduction
I started with the Harmony Gold dub in way back when. I saw a few episodes of the show and it disappeared off the face of what my parent's cable subscription was.
I remember this kid with cool hair jumping into water and fighting a massive fish, I remember Bulma.
Sadly, it wasn't until a few years later when DragonBall Z came to light that I was able to make the connection between the two.
Then again, I say sadly, but the internet wasn't available to normal people, and people were still playing Doom at University using their interwebs or local network.
Add to the fact that I was just a few years of age... NO INTERNET
I went to this site because I was PISSED as hell when I heard the DBZ Blu-ray levels had been suspended; I was looking for answers, so I said I'd join, and whenever the opportunity arose, I would pester members to shed more light on the deets, I also said, if there's ever any progress made on that front, Kazenshuu would have information on it. Most DBZ fans out there know you exist, they even frequent the AVS + Blu-ray forums.
I stayed for the info, and as fate may have it, I am doing a uni project on DBZ!

If I remember correctly I found this site back in 09 from various people on Twitter and YouTube linking to here. After a few months of reading the news and listening to the podcast I decided to join.

Have I posted on this thread? Not sure if I have, but I don't think I have. So, I found this place in the summer of '09. It seemed cool and you guys knew what you were talking about. I found out about the forums in September of '09 and decided to join. What made me stay was all the cool people on here and the fact that I could have some really cool discussions with some people. It's been over 3 years since I joined, and I'm glad I did.

Re: Your Kanzenshuu (prev. "Daizenshuu EX") Introduction
Hello guys, registered a few months ago but I haven't introduced myself yet.
I'm Kokos, I've been mostly a lurker here but I hope to change that with the next Dragon Ball game coming out in 2013.
As strange as it may sound, I used to like Dragon Ball as a child, now I care only for the games for the most part. Consider it a guilty pleasure and a tradition of mine if you want.
I enjoy reading the posts and conversations here, plus it seems like one of the more active forums about Dragon Ball games, so I'm glad I found this site.
Cheers.

Re: Your Kanzenshuu (prev. "Daizenshuu EX") Introduction
Well I registred myself some time ago too but didnt found the introduction thread back then so here it goes now :
I'm FortuneSSJ (real name - Fabio) and I'm from Portugal. I've been a Dragon Ball fan since the show started in my country ,1995. I was 5 years old back then. Its one of my favourites animes ever and the Z era is my faourite part, mainly because the awesome fight scenes and characters transformations. But even if I'm fan since then, this is the first dragon ball forum I sign up, because I'm not the kind of person to be in forum. I'm proud of the knowledge I have about this series and aspire to learn more and more everyday. This forum catch my attention because of that. There's a lot of things here that I didnt know and others that I didnt even have thought about it. So I'm here! And to meet some hardcore dragon ball fans too
Nice to meet you guys!

Re: Your Kanzenshuu (prev. "Daizenshuu EX") Introduction
Greetings. Long-time fan of DBZ here, though only now 200 episodes into watching the whole series in order. When I was young, I didn't have cable 95% of the time, so watching DBZ in order was out of the question.
Anyways, I honestly can't remember how I came across this site, but I read discussions inside a few threads and registered a few days ago; and here I am now.

Re: Your Kanzenshuu (prev. "Daizenshuu EX") Introduction
Wow, just saw this thread.
I've been here for a little while, but I guess I haven't really introduced myself. I'm Kamiccolo9, and finally joined this forum in January after lurking for about a month over Christmas break. I'm a senior History major at my university, and about to start working on my masters. I've been a Dragonball fan since the mid-late nineties, when they aired the Ocean Dub of Dragonball Z on Toonami.
As far as my involvement on this forum goes, I stick mainly to the In-Universe forum. I like to come up with fan theories and find ways to work them into the series, and to offer alternate explanations for the vague details inherent in Dragonball media. I tend to dislike all the power debates, yet somehow, I still often find myself participating in them I also participate in the Music forum, and am fond of the Faulconer music.
Anyway, it has been a real pleasure being here, and I look forward to staying for the foreseeable future. Momentai everybody!

Re: Your Kanzenshuu (prev. "Daizenshuu EX") Introduction
Hey guys! I've been quietly checking out the site and it's predecessor on and off for a long time, but I decided it was time for me to join after stumbling upon it again for the first time in a while the other day. I'm a long time fan of Dragonball, DBZ, and I don't completely hate GT, though looking back it's not so pleasant haha. I can safely say that I've loved Dragonball and the like since my childhood, and there's no end in sight whatsoever. I've written fan continuations and drawn out spin off manga of up to 70 pages, but that was when I was young. These days I'm more of a fan artist if you will. I'm going to school for Graphic Design and business, but I use deviant art as a traditional outlet for fun, unprofessional work.
