Korean Kai was better then Korean Z. Korean Z will forever be my favorite audio of DragonballZ but I can admit when it's not the best

It's also an artistically better dub, even if Funimation's old Z dub was the more accurate product Funimation's Kai dub would still be the more enjoyable product.

The Z dub was the more accurate product?

Since you're Korean, what's your opinion on Freeza having an even more female voice than Linda Young in the dub?

Some of those people in your comment sections are morons. They prefer Clark Kakakent over Son Goku. If I wanted to watch Superman I would go watch Superman TAS or JL. I am watching Goku and don't want his Superman wanabe bullshit.

You should do more of these.

You mean if FUNi had the same actors, but just a more accurate script...

Well I thought the actor should have played Android 18 instead of Freeza. But you have to admit even through Freeza has a super girly voice in Korean Dub(s) but she a much better actor then Linda Young. But my honest opinion is that they should not have cast a women for him. Just in case you're wondering my favorite voice actor is Goku(Tooniverse dub) and Vegeta's Champ dub. Funny cause they're from the same person but the voice sounds so differ. In terms of voices I'll give Korean Z a 3/5 maybe 6 -7 /10 for Champ dub. The toonizerse dub a 8/10. The Kai Korean dub(If I'm correct there is only one which is Champ) is a 7.5/10. But still a better dub overall.

Yeah, from the clips I saw Korean Freeza was much better than Mrs. Young's. I like Vegeta's Champ voice it sounds pretty close to Horikawa if he were to speak Korean. Not sure which Korean dub, but there was one where Goten sounded exactly like Nozawa, it was crazy. It'd be weird here in America to have different dubs just based on channels, but that's pretty cool. I liked both Champ's and Tooniverse's Goku's.

In Dbz Kai(Champ Dub. Which I think so far it's only one) Gohan sounds just like a early/prime Nozawa.

No I mean that if the Japanese dub had "Cat loves food" "sad for youuuuuuu", the Faulconer score, voice actors learning on the job and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7wyidD6mUk making Funimation's old Z dub the more accurate product and Funimation's Kai dub the inaccurate product Funimation's Kai dub would stiill be more enjoyable.

I often wonder how much better the dub would've been had the only difference been a more accurate script. I'm certain that would've done wonders for the performances.

I doubt it would have made a difference, if Schemmel couldn't sell "I am the hope of the universe" I doubt he could sell "I am the Super Saiyan".

It's harder to perform terrible dialog. Of course he couldn't sell "hope of the universe!" It's a terrible line. Plus, one line does not a good performance make.

The actors not be able to sound that great was a result of them being green not because of the dialogue. Just compare the 99 dub with the remastred dub, Sabat could sell "we're all doomed, we're dooomed!" far better then he could in 99 and Sonny Strait could say "h..he's too strong" without breaking into what sounds like a Mexican accent. Even the "oh no it's Vegeta. It can't beeeeee!" guy sounds better in the UUE/season sets dub. So even if more accurate scripts did make a different it wouldn't have been a noticeable one.

I never said that was the only reason. Of course being green was a big reason but even good seasoned actors can turn in bad performances if the dialog is terrible, or just too on the nose (eg Spider-Man or Smallville). The dialog wasn't just bad, it was attrocious. If they got the same scripts now as they did then as well as the same direction, they would be better, but it would still stiffle their performances. Aside from lack of voice acting experience, they lacked a knowledgable director and a quality script.

I'll add the addendum of a director that didn't require the actors to sound like their Ocean counterparts. The more Sabat shed his impression of Drummond, the better he became.

Is the "it can't beeeee" guy the same actor?

Off-topic, but can someone explain me why the term "Jap" is offensive? I seriously have no idea.

Basically, it was an offensive term during WW2, and has retained a negative connotation since then.
