Well, there's nothing keeping Hirano from holding an ongoing role, considering that she'll be doing exactly that by playing Lucy when Fairy Tail comes back around the same time as Kai.

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Have there been any video previews of buu saga kai?
It is clear that sometime in Mark Satan's life, he acquired the dragon balls and called upon shenlong to grant him immortality.

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Nothing yet that I have seen. I figured something would have shown up by now seeing as how when Kai first began, commercials started popping up about a month prior to it airing. Though, I don't think the return is as big a deal for TOEI as the initial unveiling, so we'll probably start seeing commercials a week or so out from the air date. I'm waiting for the Kai website to be updated with new information but I'm pretty sure that didn't even happen the first time until a few days before it aired. Hopefully we'll get some new info soon.JackyBoi99 wrote:Have there been any video previews of buu saga kai?

Yeah hopefully because I'm becoming quite anxious to see at least some sort of preview.Freeza Soldier #156 wrote:Nothing yet that I have seen. Yeah, if it's like Kai the first time, I'd say one week prior to the first episode on TV.Freeza Soldier #156 wrote:Nothing yet that I have seen. But this time, you can also count on Battle of Gods: chances are there will be a next episode preview at the end of the movie for the beginning of the Boo arc in two weeks from then.

I haven't been keeping up with the news very well, so I'm gonna have to be intrusive and ask: have we heard anything from FUNimation about official simulcasts?

That's actually what I was thinking, LOL. Some pretty boy who doesn't even have a ton of linesB wrote:Who the heck would Mamoru Miyano even play? Sharpner? Jewel?

Another thought I had was if they would try to find a role for Shoko Nakagawa in Kai. I'm sure she'd enjoy it, she was practically fangasming through all of the Battle of Gods promotional events we saw. They could get even more footage of her going on about how it's so great to be recording with Gokuu and Vegeta and *really fast muttering descending into sobs of joy*

I really really hope so, I would love to be able to watch the show legally without having to wait on DVDs.Storm wrote:I haven't been keeping up with the news very well, so I'm gonna have to be intrusive and ask: have we heard anything from FUNimation about official simulcasts?
Re: Buu Saga Kai
According to the next issue of V-Jump, the opening song is Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go by Takayoshi Tanimoto.

Re: Buu Saga Kai
I was hoping there would be a different opening for the Buu Saga of Kai, just like what the original Dragon Ball Z did.. Great news! Really excited to see the new opening. Although I hope its better or at least as catchy as Dragon Soul, loved that theme

Re: Buu Saga Kai
"Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go"... Hum, that looks weird. "Zetsu", I've heard that word before. Wasn't there something like an army of white "zetsu" in Naruto lately, during the Shinobi World War?
Well after Dragon Soul, a title like Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go takes some getting used to, but it'll come more naturally once we hear it. After Cha-La Head-Cha-La, We Gotta Power and Dragon Soul, English-sounding titles stop with Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go, I guess it brings something new to the tradition so far... and will complicate things for the US dub of the song as the title will have to be changed entirely except maybe for the final "Go"!

It is! There are also ones from Masako Nozawa, Ryō Horikawa, and Kōzō Shioya. Expect translations shortly.sintzu wrote:is that a toriyama note ?

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Great news! I was never really a fan of Dragon Soul anyway, given that it lifts melodies for its refrain wholesale from Dan Dan.
I get the need for 'brand identification' in musical choices, but if it's so important, why not just cover one of the older themes as to refresh it - like they did with Head Cha-la in Battle of Gods? Dragon Soul always seemed kinda pointless to me.

空前絶後 (kuuzenzetsugo) is a Japanese idiom originates in Chinese which can be literally translated as "nothing before, never happens afterward". It is used to describe something as extremely rare, special, and unique.Cold Skin wrote:"Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go"... Hum, that looks weird. "Zetsu", I've heard that word before. In addition to what others said about this, we'll probably have a preview at the end of the last episode of Toriko.JackyBoi99 wrote:Have there been any video previews of buu saga kai?

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Glad to hear that Tanimoto is returning as the "voice of Kai."
Since he's being credited as "Dragon Soul" again, I guess this pretty much confirms that he'll have to record a second DB-related song for the CD single. So, three songs (basically) confirmed so far?

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Nice to see a new theme! Noticed the Kanji for the Kuu and Go in the title is identical to Goku's name. Err, at least the Kuu is.
Re: Buu Saga Kai
Come to think of it, this is only the sixth time in the whole history of the franchise that we'll get to discover one of the legendary openings and themes.
So far, there was nothing more - for the TV series - than:
1. Mystical adventure (DRAGON BALL)
2. Cha-La Head-Cha-La (DRAGON BALL Z part 1)
3. We Gotta Power (DRAGON BALL Z part 2)
4. Dan Dan (DRAGON BALL GT)
5. Dragon Soul (DRAGON BALL KAI part 1)
6. Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go (DRAGON BALL KAI part 2)
So it's kind of a legendary moment we're about to live in the franchise.
Much like Dragon Soul, this will also let us have an opening that possibly takes more into account than just the first episodes, properly showing the enemies and new forms as the story progresses (Majin Boo, Gotenks, Super Saiyan 3, etc... didn't even appear in We Gotta Power, since the opening was made before the whole upcoming plot was known, so it focuses only on Gohan's high school life, Great Saiyaman, Goten and Trunks).
