I posted these links for the people who can make use of them.

Thanks to your explanations, I did some research and I understood how pointless my actions were. I do not want to prove anything to "the masses". I just posted these scans for the sake of discussion.

I think you may have posted the wrong link. I don't see anything about DBZ season 3 anywhere on that page. :?

Ah yes, once I turned off Adblock I could see the background (rather than just a blue background). Interesting choice of a background.

If anything you are just going to 'prove' to those same people that the new release is good.
I have the first two seasons of this release, it's strangely zoomed-in, I feel like zooming out, but I can't. However, I did buy the first two seasons at $15 a pop, it's just because I anticipate the Faulconer music quality to be good when I hook it up to a 5.1 system.

At $15 a month, I don't mind owning this release, and skipping out on coffee, but it is far from being Blu-ray Level quality.
DragonBox has colour issues that are strange, so I guess these 'seasons' have better colour.

I want to believe that one day Toei will end this nonsense and release a great version of DB-Z-GT, until then, I can just buy cheap things like this.

If it wasn't for the $15 price tag, I would have not purchased this, and waited for the 4:3 1080p uncropped 'definitive' version of the show.

Dragon Boxes are too pink, they have color issues, shaky cam, and out of sync audio. bottom right. Green Sky ftw.
Is there some type of unanimous funi dragonbox culture that goes around to increase the value of them, so people can sell theirs for more money on the internet? They really aren't that great, but the color on the season sets is slightly better than the DBoxes.

The DBoxes aren't the be all end all, I hope people realize this.

As far as Toei is concerned, the Dragon Box is the show's pure form. And from history, other parties messing with the footage leads to more bad than good.

When I watch dragon ball z on the dragon boxes, there is only a little bit of pink. I still think that dragon boxes are the best that dragon ball has ever looked on a home release.
It is clear that sometime in Mark Satan's life, he acquired the dragon balls and called upon shenlong to grant him immortality.

I've never really cared too much about the colours because it's always different here and there, even the books don't keep accuracy in this regard neither.

If anyone wants to colour correct the footage themselves then follow this tutorial: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... =7&t=19448

For me, it's the level sets. They have some crushed black issues but I think it shows the age of the show well.

I still have to do these adjustments, especially on the Dragon Ball movies!! WOW!!

I have been lazy and just been using VLC

The aging film that other parties have would beg to differ, but I prefer the French DVDs for optimal viewing because the Levels were discontinued, they have some good masters. I do admit, l've taken a liking to the cartoony colors on the cropped bray-z-season sets. Reminds me of the Kai intro. And to be honest, I always remember DBZ as being colorful, despite the fact.

I would color correct, but I'm too lazy/lax.

Didn't Sangofe say those French DVDs had some terrible compression?

I recall seeing screenshots of the French DVDs in this community somewhere but it's kind of hard to find the topic now.

I don't know why, but that user always says that, it's always the same guy. I don't notice this compression, and it is said the total compression scenes make up one 20 minute episode on the DBZ set. So, you're going to have those compression scenes spaced-out over 291 episodes, -1. Also, these compression scenes are also apparrent on the dboxes, there was a daizenshuu article about it that I linked in the other thread.

So, you will not notice the compression, it will be diluted with other scenes, and will amount to less than 1%, 0.00343642611% to be exact.
And if you look around on the internet, there are even people tweaking even those 'scenes' or should I say 'frames'.

Don't take this the wrong way because I believe everybody is entitled to their own opinion. but your post kinda proves that a-lot of Dragonball fans will never be satisfied with what they have/get. :P I have zero problems with the Dragon-boxes! and I love the ''Too much pink'' and as I said a couple pages back. I love these new sets, but in my opinion they don't hold a candle to the Dragon-boxes.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

I saw your Youtube video about the DragonBall Z level sets cancelled, you were just as bummed as me, don't deny it. When you taste the nectar of the gods, there's no other substitute.
