Well, that's because Dragonball Z DOES have infinite plot and characters. Just most of them get sidelined for the TRUE THREAT; THE ULTRA MEGA GALAXY PHOTON GIGACHOCOLATE DRAGON THAT HAS DECIDED TO TAKE VENGEANCE FOR THE SLAYING OF THE FIRST FISH GOKU EVER DEFEATED IN THE FIRST CHAPTER/EPISODE, FOR HE WAS HIS DEAREST FRIEND, AND FRIENDSHIP IS THE ONLY REASON TO KILL A HUMAN BEING. Either that, or they just have a differing opinion than you.

Most anime get overshadowed by DBZ pouplarity. Thats why the series gained so much haters in these last years. Poor them.

I remember reading that the original artists of Dan Dan Kokoro supposedly "said" that the Portuguese DBGT Opening was the best but never any source to prove that.. Oh well it's just more YT poop.

Let the Portuguese dubs of Dragon Ball be buried and never talked ever again due to how horrible they were (minus Path to Power which was kinda neat except Goku's VA had an absolute annoying voice). On the GT dub Feist said once "Majin Boo" rather than "Bu Bu" but putting this aside it was all dubtitles, I think.
